Job Title: Director Strategic Sales - Freight ForwardingLocation: Dallas, TXSalary: $100,000 - $150,000Overview:Attention all Solutions-focused Sales Professionals in Plano, TX! Are you an experienced revenue generator with a strategic outlook? Our client, a leading provider of transportation solutions, is seeking a Director of Strategic Sales to help drive their sales growth to sizeable revenue numbers within the next 10 years.The ideal candidate will be a collaborator who can work closely with operations to develop and execute strategies for success. The majority of our client's business is in truckloads (LTL/FTL), with airfreight and rail freight also in the mix. Although, there is not much ocean freight at the moment.Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute effective sales plans and strategies to meet revenue targets
• Identify and develop new business opportunities, as well as maintain and expand existing accounts
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure customer satisfaction
• Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify new opportunities
• Negotiate contracts and close deals
• Prepare reports and present to senior managementRequirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
  • At least 5 years of sales and marketing experience in the freight forwarding industry
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and executing sales strategies
  • Good understanding of the freight forwarding industry
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience in consistently achieving sales targets
