Job Description Title: Customer Service Representative Reports to: Store ManagerClassification: Non-Exempt Full-Time and Part-Time Positions Available Pay Scale: $15.00/ per hourPosition Summary: At Ace Mart, we are more than a restaurant supply store; we are a one-stop shop for the foodservice industry. Ace Mart is a family-owned business that lives by our vision and understands the importance of customer service and the value of our employees. The customer service representative plays an essential role in our company. This position will focus on exceeding customer expectations through helping customers find products, maintaining clean and well-stocked aisles filled with products, and completing customer transactions while displaying a positive, friendly attitude. Responsibilities for a Customer Service Representative :Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • Exceeds customer expectations by being prompt and courteous either in person or on the phone, walking customers to the product in the store, providing guidance and knowledge of the product, and carrying the product to the customer's vehicle or arranging delivery service if necessary.
  • Operates the company's point of sale computer system, fax machines, telephones, radios, etc.
  • Adheres to procedures for customer transactions to include reconciling a cash drawer, making deposits, accepting full payments via credit card, cash, check, wire transfers or charging accounts, correctly taxing products or not taxing products, and completing the process for transferring product within Ace Mart stores.
  • Understands the discount process and pricing for customers.
  • Merchandises through proper aisle maintenance by fronting, restocking, and dusting shelves.
  • Adheres to the store shipping and receiving procedures and ensures cost-effective shipping methods are utilized.
  • Participates in training for personal development and assists with training for new members of the team.
  • Provides a clean and safe store by maintaining the restrooms, warehouse, parking lot, and refreshment area, sweeping and mopping the floors, and taking out the trash.

  • Pass a pre-employment physical exam and drug screening.
  • Stand and walk up to eight (8) hours daily.
  • Lift and lower boxes and objects 35" from the floor.
  • 1-25 pounds 25 times daily
  • 26-50 pounds 10 times daily
  • Bend and stoop daily.
  • Operate a computer up to four hours at a time.

  • Educational Assistance Position Type/Expected Hours of Work for a Customer Service Representative This is a full-time position, with a schedule to include Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. with a rotating Saturday. Travel for a Customer Service Representative This position requires limited travel. If travel occurs, it will be within the local area. Required Education and Experience for a Customer Service Representative
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of restaurant equipment and supplies is preferred.
  • Experience with cash handling is preferred.
  • Experience of serving customers in a retail environment is preferred.
