are seeking a highly skilled Lactation Consultant to join our team
at Children's Health (Dallas). As a Lactation Consultant, you will
be responsible for providing expert lactation support to mothers
and their infants, ensuring a smooth and successful breastfeeding
experience.Responsibilities:
- Provide lactation education and support to mothers and their
infants, addressing any breastfeeding challenges or concerns.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement
individualized lactation plans, ensuring optimal breastfeeding
outcomes.
- Conduct lactation assessments and provide recommendations for
improvement, utilizing evidence-based practices and clinical
guidelines.
- Develop and maintain lactation resources and educational
materials for healthcare staff and families, promoting best
practices and lactation-friendly environments.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to
the development and implementation of lactation-related policies
and procedures.
- Stay current with the latest lactation research, best
practices, and clinical guidelines, applying this knowledge to
improve lactation outcomes and patient satisfaction.Requirements:
- At least 2 years of experience in lactation support or a
related field.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of
Texas.
- International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC)
certification or willingness to obtain within 12 months of
hire.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the
ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability
to think critically and make sound judgments.About Children's
