The Principal Architect will design, develop, and analyze overall Cloud and Software systems. - This role must determine infrastructure, software, protocol, and data architecture solutions meet all compliance, performance, scalability, reliability, security, and budget requirements. Core Duties and Responsibilities

• Platform Design across multiple cloud providers and systems
• Provide high level designs and design alternatives to product managers
• Reviews and is a key contributor for low level design pattern implementation and code inspections
• Governance of Agile Architecture (i.e. SAFe)
• Translates Business Strategy into Technical Strategy Other Responsibilities
  • Drives research on emerging software development products, languages, and standards in support of procurement and development efforts
  • Researches, documents, and implements program requirements and specifications
  • Collaborates in the development and initiation of new design patterns
  • Runs and monitors performance tests on new and existing software for the purposes of correcting mistakes, isolating areas of improvement, and general debugging
  • Gathers statistics, prepare, and write reports on the status of the programming process for discussion with management and team members
  • Cultivates and disseminates knowledge of development best practices
  • Determines, develops, and maintains guidelines and coding standard documentation
  • Recommends and coordinates improvements and upgrades for optimal performance of product portfolio
  • Interacts regularly with managers, vendors, and end users to field queries and questions
  • Engages with Cloud Service Providers
  • Collaborates with Front End Architects and Designers Required Knowledge & Skills
    • 10+ years of production experience in Software Development
    • 6+ years of experience in Platform Architecture
    • 6+ years of Cloud Design (Azure) in production
    • 6+ years of Infrastructure as Code
    • 5+ years of experience with software development and architecture using Typescript, C#, .NET Core
    • 3+ years of production experience with terraform (terragrunt is a plus)
    • Must have designed and implemented an event driven, and/or service oriented, architecture in production
    • Knowledge of regulatory compliance frameworks (NIST800-53, PCI-DSS, HIPAA, and HITRUST)
    • Detailed knowledge of Agile design methodologies
    • Working experience creating design documentation, diagrams, roadmaps, and coding standards
    • Production experience with REST, GraphQL, and RPC API's
    • Must be a team player with the ability to work with all parts of the organization
    • Ability to distill options and trade-offs to non-technical users
    • Must have interpersonal and negotiation skills
    • Bachelors of Computer Science, or related field, is a plus
    • Knowledge of the infrastructure hosting industry a plus (bare metal or virtual) Armor is a remote-first organization.
