TITLE: Technical Business Analyst Location: Plano, TX Our financial services client is searching for a Technical BA to join their team in Plano, TX on a contract-to-hire basis. Skills/Experience You will Need: * Overall 10 years of IT industry experience and 5+ years of technical business analysis experience preferable at a financial- services, technology, or fintech firm. * 3+ years working knowledge of Identity& Access Management (IAM) technologies. * Experience in writing detailed technical business/functional requirements, use cases, and user stories. * Strong Technical Background * Experience with system analysis and design. * Experience with creating flow chart using Visio or other tool. * Good understanding of Application Architecture diagrams and able to update based of feedback. * Ensure designs meet company technical standards i.e. CADEF. * Strong understanding of how to protect APIs and Web Services * Knowledge of testing API via Postman and other tools. * Proven track record of working in medium to large size IT organizations with multiple IT stakeholders. * Strong understanding of AGILE Scrum/Kanban Methodologies. * Impeccable attention to detail. * Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous situations. * Ability to learn quickly, manage work independently and is a team player What you will do: * Support defining, documenting and executing the product/feature roadmap (This would normally be a Product function): * Create and maintain the product/feature roadmap * Experience with Atlassian JIRA, Confluence and dashboard reporting. * Align Jira to product/feature roadmap. * Create functional specifications/customer requirements in terms of Jira stories. * Identify dependencies with systems external to the team. * Clean up the Jira Backlog: Initiatives, Epics, Stories. * Expertise in writing story acceptance test criteria in BDD (Gherkin). * Provide documentation of the systems function, architecture and use: * Advanced knowledge of creating API documentation for a developer who can consume the API. * Excellent relationship-building skills, with ability to establish trust and credibility across lines of business and functions. * Excellent communication skills - written, visual and verbal. * Ability to communicate technical topics to a non-technical audience and business needs to a technical audience. * Dependencies * Releases * Ability to liaison between lines of business and the development team, while working with a wide range of stakeholders and collaborating with your team * Primary point of contact with Product Nice to Have: * Comfortable slinging some code to solve a problem. * Works with application support and development team to fix defects and escalated issues. * Certified Scrum Professional/Master, Large Scale Scrum (LeSS), and/or CSPO(Certified Scrum Product Owner) certification.
