Job Description:

Operations TechnicianA Operations Technician Associate plays a crucial role in analyzing system issues and breakdowns across the enterprise's networks. The NOC Analyst is part of the Operations Center which is responsible for the Worldwide Network Operations Center with 4 locations around the Globe which monitors multiple services, infrastructure, and network connectivity. ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Work focuses on providing first class customer service to internal and external customers. Resetting passwords, managing patching activities and outage bridges as assigned.
  • Responsible for monitoring production applications, servers and network using a combination of tools to triangulate and identify issues as they occur.
  • Must provide clear and concise escalations to senior team members as required.
  • Support is provided by phone and via email to internal and external customers
  • Scheduling bridges
  • Document and escalate, as appropriate, all incidents and assist in providing a timely resolution
  • Monitor, triage and log incidents using appropriate logs and ticketing software
  • Monitor all processing systems and File Transfers such as SFTP, SSH etc. to ensure all SLAs are met
  • Participate in software and hardware upgrades and replacements by tracking the progress of issues and helping to mitigate risk
  • Analyze transaction failures through multi-platform system and assist in mitigating future failuresOTHER DUTIES:
    • Maintains and updates knowledge base
    • Initiate RCA and maintain timeline for service impacting eventsREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
      • High school diploma
      • 1-2 years' work experience in a technical work environment, i.e. in another network operations environment, production control, or service desk
      • Must have the ability to work with limited supervision, and have strong interpersonal skills and excellent time management skills
      • Must be self-motivated team player able to work comfortably with highly diverse, cross-departmental teams
      • Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently with internal and external customers
      • Must demonstrate self-initiative, ability to analyze and respond to service problems
      • Must coordinate with internal support teams to remediate service issues
      • Experience with Windows Server such as troubleshooting network connectivity, services and Active Directory
      • Willingness to work flexible shifts and schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays
      • Strong verbal and written communications skills
      • Ability to adapt to a continuously changing environment
      • 2 years Cisco IOS, router and switch
      • CCENT ( Cisco Certified Entry Networking )
      • CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate)
      • JNCIA - Junos
      • ITIL Foundation Certification
      • MCP (Microsoft Certified Professional)
      • MCSA (Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate)
      • RHCSA (Red Hat Certified System Administrator)
      • 1 year Juniper Firewall, F5 LB, Checkpoint,Solarwinds, Zabbix, Monolith, Logic Monitor
      • Knowledge of network protocols such as TCP, HTTP, HTTPS, SNMP, SFTP, BGP & SSH
      • Knowledge of Network high availability standards such as load balancing & redundancy is a plus.
      • Experience with Dollar Universe, ActiveBatch, Sterling Commerce Connect Direct, GlobalScape, WinSCP, WS_FTP Pro is a plus
      • Experience with UNIX, Linux or AIX such as changing directories, viewing files and the execution of scripts.
