The Underwriting Team Lead is responsible for managing loan escalations from internal and external partners to resolve in a timely manner. This role requires someone with a history of assuming personal responsibility for these processes, and demonstrating the ability to work independently and efficiently. She/he will also have a history of embracing relationships within a company. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated the desire to excel and improve by consistently evaluating refinements to Spring EQs processes and showing a passion for continued learning. This critical role requires a passionate and detail-oriented individual who holds Spring EQs values of integrity, accountability, and positivity in high regard.Manage loan escalations from internal and external partners to resolve in a timely mannerSupport and manage loan files through the manufacturing queue in a timely, accurate and compliant mannerComplete second review of loans that are outside of underwriters authorityProvide regular pipeline management reporting and feedback to the management team as requiredIdentify trending on loan escalations and create an action plan for continuous process improvementProvide coaching to manufacturing team members to continually enhance the quality and efficiency of the processLead and motivate a manufacturing team that is focused on multiple job functions towards a common goalOther duties as assignedQualifications:Bachelors degree preferredStrong foundation of mortgage lending knowledgeKnowledge of mortgage loan operations processing requiredTwo years of underwriting management experienced preferred in a team environmentMininum three years experience in a Home Equity or Mortgage underwriting role required.Excellent analysis skill with attention to detail necessaryThe ideal candidate will have a self-starter mentality with the ability to solve open ended business challengesThe ideal candidate will enthusiastically contribute to a culture of innovation and continuous improvementThe ideal candidate will know how to collaborate with team members in a remote environment while also working independently with minimal supervisionWe worked hard to stay updated with the industry technology, therefore we need our employees to be able to learn new computer systems quicklyTime is money At Spring EQ we recognize the importance of working with a sense of urgency.
