Job Description:

Sunflower Bank, N.A. is looking for an energetic, highly motivated individual to fill the position of TEMP - Deposit Operations Specialist in Plano, TX! The TEMP - Deposit Operations Specialist is responsible for performing a wide variety of support to the Deposit Operations Manager and all other Bank departments. In particular, this position is responsible for monitoring and processing all items related to the Deposit Operations of the Bank.

• Responsible for monitoring and addressing all non-post, stop pays, positive pay or NSF items daily
• Responsible for processing foreign items and returned mail
• Process chargeback's, ACH return items, and CD interest checks
• Process daily account maintenance requests in accordance with Bank policy and file properly
• Responsible for processing daily reports and settlements as delegated by the Deposit Operations Manager
• Responsible for monitoring and processing lockbox items, new account documents and handling account exceptions
• Report discrepancies immediately to the Deposit Operations Manager and assist in clearing discrepancies
• Maintain detailed records on all work responsibilities
• Maintain the confidentiality of the Bank's customers
• Remain current on and adhere to all regulatory requirements and training
• Responsible for processing levies and garnishments
• Responsible for processing branch capture work and for review of mobile and merchant capture deposits
• Responsible for providing back up to all other Deposit Operations
• Specialists Education/Experience Preferred:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required, some college preferred.
  • Familiarity with bank operations and regulations preferred.
  • Effective analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Expertise with Microsoft programs such as Word, Excel and Outlook and ability to use all applicable systems, technology and software to perform the job.
  • Proficient with data entry.
  • Ability to work in an area governed by production standards.
