We are currently seeking an IRIS Cache Database Admin Senior Specialist to join our team. This position will work remotely from your home office located within the US.

Job Responsibilities Include:

* Provides support for our client's IRIS Cache Database instances in their Athena IDX system
* Acts as backup for the Tech team lead and helps to provide guidance to less senior members of the team. In addition, handles the following:
* Monitoring
* Install, configure, and maintain a remote monitoring software agent to collect and monitor Cach and application licenses and daily data collection
* Set thresholds that trigger system-generated alerts for disk/file system available space
* Set thresholds that triggered system-generated alerts for database-free space
* Monitor and flag significant error conditions within the Cach database structure
* Monitor and flag error conditions within the database error trap
* Monitor and flag status for production SIU interfaces
* Monitor and flag status for port management to ensure connectivity
* Journal Management
* Monitor and maintain Journal files
* Monitor Journal file space utilization
* Analyze abnormal Journal activity
* Validate Journal Purge Tasks
* System Monitoring
* Investigate system alerts; provide issue resolution
* Maintain/modify system monitor configuration when warranted
* Notify the customer when the alert has been rectified
* Backup
* Validation of best backup practices to ensure database integrity and recoverability
* Verify that the backup is completed successfully
* Investigate backup failures and provide issue resolution

* Storage Management
* Verify sufficient storage is available
* Validate RAID arrays and shadow sets mounted for backup when applicable
* Examine error conditions
* Investigate unusual growth trends
* Database rebuild / disk defrag when necessary
* Notify and coordinate with customers when storage requirements are inadequate. Develop plans for storage management when warranted
* Provide recommendations to migrate data when required

Basic Qualifications:

* Minimum of 6 years of experience in overall database administration
* Minimum of 1 year of experience with Intersystems IRIS Cache Database

Preferred Skills:

* Experience supporting Athena IDX

In compliance with the Colorado Equal Pay Transparency Rules, NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in Colorado. For a candidate in the state of Colorado only, the starting pay range for this role is $83,500 - 137,800. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including actual work location, relevant experience (internal or external), technical skills, and other qualifications.
