** LOAN PROCESSOR, SENIOR - DISTRIBUTED RETAIL****Job Category****:** Operations **Requisition Number****:** LOANP002648 Showing 1 location **Job Details****Description**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS --- Monitor and reconcile all submitted documentation from assigned Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO), obtain missing and/or final loan documentation from the borrower, and discuss any discrepancies with the MLO --- Complete an evaluation of initial approvals by releasing updated approval(s), acting as liaison between borrower and underwriter, and effectively scheduling calls with the borrower to discuss any pertinent conditions --- Manage personal loan processing pipeline, including portfolio retention and New Customer Acquisition (NCA) refinance transactions --- Interact with investors' automated underwriting decisions and fraud compliance tools --- Review and follow updated FGMC credit policies and investor-related requirements specific to the loan, while ensuring the loan conditions meet investor and FGMC guidelines --- Conduct pre-underwriting reviews of borrower-uploaded conditions, obtaining additional documents as needed to meet the remaining conditions prior to loan closing, and resubmitting loan files to underwriting for final approval once all conditions have been received --- Cultivate and maintain a close relationship with all MLO contacts and proactively and effectively communicate all information to borrowers from the time the loan is decisioned through clear-to-close --- Set and maintain proper expectations for all parties within the transaction, including internal and external customers (e.g. MLOs, Regional Sales Managers, Underwriters, etc.) --- Review data input in comparison to loan documents and update/inquire accordingly --- Ensure all loan documentation complies with company policy and is complete, accurate, and verified --- Provide feedback to management regarding ideas on ways to improve and allow for a more efficient and automated process --- Perform other duties as assignedKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES --- Good oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills --- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills --- Excellent time management and follow-up skills --- Ability to work effectively with business teams, clients, and vendors to build strong relationships --- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including strong Excel spreadsheet skillsREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS --- High school diploma or GED --- 5+ years of mortgage loan processing experience, including 3+ years of experience in residential loan processing within the Retail channel --- In-depth knowledge of mortgage loan underwriting criteria and compliance guidelines, including ability to research and provide guidelines to clients and internal staff and comfortably discuss specific characteristics of loan features in relation to guidelines --- Understanding of credit guidelines and ability to read credit reports --- Basic underwriting knowledge/comprehension, including income calculation, asset review, appraisal review, and understanding of AUS findings, etc. In-depth knowledge of mortgage lending guidelines and regulations (RESPA, REG B, HMDA, FHA, VA, Conventional, and other products offered)PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS The following physical requirements must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the position. The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more.
