**Annual Giving Specialist - Texas Health Resources Foundation**

**Work location:** 3100 Communications Parkway, Plano, TX 75093 - Hybrid remote (work onsite as needed)



**Work environment:** North Region: Supports the Texas Health hospitals and community health initiatives in Collin and Denton counties



**Work hours:** Full Time, 40 hours weekly, Monday-Friday 8am-5pm - occasional evening hours

**Here's What You Need**



+ High School Diploma or equivalent (required)



+ Bachelor's degree (preferred)



+ Three years of experience in volunteer management and fund development (required) or



+ Three years of marketing/sales experience (required)



+ Direct fund solicitation experience (preferred)



**A successful Annual Giving Specialist will:**



+ Have excellent written and verbal skills in addition to proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications.



+ Excellent interpersonal skills.



+ Ability to effectively articulate the mission/vision of the Foundation and the entities we represent and demonstrated experience in working with individuals who have philanthropic capacity.



**What You Will Do**



The Foundation Annual Giving Specialist is responsible for managing a portfolio of annual fund prospects and donors, through identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of individuals, families, community leaders, foundations, and corporations to raise financial support for the Foundation and/or assigned hospital entity clinical programs, capital projects, research, and community health initiatives across the growing region of North Texas.



PORTFOLIO MANAGEMENT



Manages a portfolio of annual fund prospects. Conducts outreach to identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward individual community members, foundations, and corporations for the purpose of determining if they have the financial ability, capacity and interest in making an annual gift to the foundation and/or assigned hospital entity programs. Will work with the VP Foundation to transition those donors who are ready to move into the major gifts program.



ANNUAL CAMPAIGNS



Works in collaboration with the director of annual fund to support employee giving campaigns, North Texas Giving Day, Birthday Buddies, direct mail/e solicitation, and Grateful Patient programs in their assigned region to achieve annual fund goals.



DONOR ENGAGEMENT



Coordinate cultivation and volunteer working group meetings (event committees, affinity group, etc.).



Drive the volunteer recruitment, training and management process to execute Foundation events/affinity groups effectively.



Work in collaboration with the event specialist to ensure volunteer event committees are supported. Duties include agenda generation, underwriting/auction support, and volunteer management.



Work in collaboration with Foundation and hospital leadership on assigned affinity groups. Duties include agenda generation, clinician engagement/scheduling, and execution of meetings.



Work in collaboration with the event specialist to ensure cultivation events are executed. Duties include preparation of agendas, presentations, guest bios, compliance privacy documents (as needed) and any post event follow-up needs.



DATA MANAGEMENT



Maintains timely records of all cultivation strategies, evaluations, solicitations, and results of contacts with prospects within the Foundation database.
