Community Partner Specialist

Job Description:

PRIMARY PURPOSE: The Community Partner Specialist is a community-focused representative of the North Texas Food Bank that provides overall support and management of NTFB's partner agencies as well as a strong connection to the community. The position will be a liaison between NTFB and the assigned community, with a focus on customer service and relationship management, with the end goal of expanding the number of meals available to people in need within our 13-county service area.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:


  • Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience


    Special Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

    • Strong organizational skills, self-directed and able to multitask
    • Attention to detail, able to make independent decisions and problem-solving aptitude
    • Ability to collaboratively work with diverse groups
    • Demonstrated ability to build community contacts
    • Knowledge of food banking or food pantry systems a plus
    • Intermediate proficiency with MS Office applications
    • Working knowledge of ERP systems and Customer Relationship Management (CRM); Salesforce a plus


      Experience:

      • Two years of account management/customer service experience, with demonstrated goal setting, coaching, evaluation, and relationship development skills


        PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

        • Cultivate strong customer service-oriented relationships with the community to provide partnership support
        • Identify new and existing partners to increase effective food distribution and sites; accountable for growth within assigned communities
        • Maintain a positive customer relationship with internal cross-functional partners at NTFB and bridge those relationships and services to partner agencies
        • Facilitate collaboration with the NTFB programs teams to develop access points of food distribution in underserved areas
        • Develop cooperative partnerships and projects with other local organizations and/or government entities in the community to better serve the area's needs
        • Work with internal stakeholders on coaching and support opportunities for partners
        • Ensure partner compliance with all NTFB contract terms, Feeding Texas, Texas Department of Agriculture, USDA, and with Feeding America's Membership requirements
        • Analyze partner data and strategize with partners to identify support plans and programs to build capacity
        • Manage the process for screening and contracting with new partners
        • Leverage county and zip code-based gaps or barriers in service to the hungry and initiate plans to meet standards utilizing existing or creating new programs
        • Assist in the development of the annual departmental budget, program, and work plan
        • Monitor and assist as necessary on-going projects, software upgrades, and customizations with the NTFB IT Team
        • Assist in the training and support of new and existing employees regarding Partner Agency responsibilities
        • Effectively represent NTFB in the community, as an ambassador of our values and mission
        • Perform other tasks and duties as assigned


          MENTAL DEMANDS:

          • The person in this position needs to adapt well in the face of workplace stressors, such as customer complaints, compliance offenses and competing priorities of reasonable or high significance to the successful function of the unit.
          • Must be able to effectively interpret data make decisions that will have a significant impact on the team and organization


            PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

            • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger; handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop; kneel, crouch or crawl; talk, hear.
            • Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
            • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.


              ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS:

              • Moderate noise (i.e. business office with open floor plan with computers, phone, and printers, light traffic).
              • Travel required within our 13-county service area; may have some limited travel out of service area and/or out-of-state
