Purpose of JobWe are seeking a talented IT Capacity Planner
Senior for our Infrastructure Capacity Planning team.

As an IT Capacity Planner Senior you will be responsible for
independently building, maintaining, and monitoring capacity
forecasting models for a wide range of infrastructure domains which
enable business functions and IT services. Acquires and applies
broad knowledge of the business, its products, and processes.
Identifies and manages existing and emerging risks that stem from
business activities. Resolves issues of and navigates obstacles to
iteratively progress and deliver assigned tasks. Serves as a
technical resource to mentor and coach junior engineers.
Participates in the evaluation, development, implementation,
integration and administration of internal and external business

- Independently builds capacity forecast models and leverages
analytical skills to identify capacity risks and optimization
opportunities for infrastructure domains and business
services.
- Ensures appropriate capacity mitigation actions are identified
and communicated through collaborative efforts with infrastructure
domain SMEs, application teams, and management.
- Manages and maintains existing solutions to enhance
availability and ensure adequate capacity. -
- Autonomously utilizes troubleshooting, modeling, analysis, and
reporting skills/techniques to determine capacity planning problem
root cause and applies knowledge of operational infrastructure to
determine business impact.
- Follows written risk and compliance policies and procedures for
business activities.
- Independently experiments with new patterns and
technologies.
- Helps establish and improve engineering best practices,
concepts, and patterns.Minimum requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree or 4 additional years of experience beyond
the minimum requirement can be used in lieu of a degree.
- 6 years of infrastructure experience demonstrating depth of
technical understanding within a specific
discipline(s)/technology(s)to include 2 years' experience in
Systems Operations environment supporting complex environment
deployment and infrastructure management activities or applicable
IT experience such as IT Management, Software Development, Data
Engineering, and Agile Product/Release Management.
- 4 years of experience in creating, modifying, and maintaining
infrastructure and individual system components.
- Advanced level of business acumen in the areas of business
operations, risk management, industry practices and emerging
trends.
- Knowledge and proficient understanding of designing scalable IT
system infrastructures, implementing system changes, or automating
service delivery and maintenance tasks.When you apply for this

- Excellent communication (verbal and written)
- 2+ Years SQL Query
- 3+ Years system performance analytics
- 3+ Years statistical analysis
- Working experience of monitoring tools such as Data Dog /
Prometheus / ELK
- 3+ Years analysis and visualization of quantitative data
- Proven experience of time series modeling and capacity
forecasting
- Working knowledge/understanding of WebSphere, Container,
Unix/Linux, Windows Server, Mainframe, Network, Virtual Machine or
Public Cloud (AWS/GCP/AZURE) domains
- Working experience with BMC TrueSight Capacity Optimization

an effective method for assessing market data and establishing
ranges to ensure we remain competitive. You are paid within the
salary range based on your experience and market position. The
salary range for this skill is: $106,800 - $192,300* Employees may
be eligible for pay incentives based on overall corporate and
individual performance or at the discretion of the USAA Board of
Directors. Geographical Differential: Geographic pay differential
is additional pay provided to eligible employees working in
locations where market pay levels are above the national
average.Shift premium: will be addressed on an individual-basis for
applicable roles that are consistently scheduled for non-core
