The Avionics industry is entering into an exciting new age of Urban
Air Mobility (UAM)/Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) and Autonomous
Flight. Be part of a team that will lead the way in this market by
developing new compact and lightweight Next Generation Traffic and
Surveillance avionics that will be used on a wide variety of
aircraft platforms, from Air Transport and Business Jets to
UAM/UAS. You will help create breakthrough innovations that will
ensure Honeywell's leadership position. You will take a technical
leadership role in creating system solutions for the Traffic
Collision Avoidance System (TCAS) and Transponder Product Team that
will meet the long-term evolving needs of our customers. You will
have ownership for systems engineering development at every aspect
of the systems life cycle, from the front end of business
development through product end of life. You will work across
disciplines within the Electronic Systems business to drive growth
and reach critical business milestones.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead specification reviews and development
Standards application and improvements
Develop and improve work practices
Review process and product quality
Lead engineering teams
Lead customer discussions
Mentor and coach junior level engineers
Project management

This position will be based at our Phoenix, Arizona facility.

YOU MUST HAVE
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
8+ years of experience leading in hardware development, electrical
or system level engineering.
Experience with providing engineering estimations for new
developments.
Applicants must be a U.S. Citizen or national, U.S. permanent
resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted
into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum due to U.S. export
control laws.
WE VALUE
Master's Degree or advanced professional certification.
Master's in Business Administration.
Deep understanding of a variety of hardware engineering standards
and specifications, especially DO-254 and DO-160.
Knowledge of TCAS, Transponder, Integrated Surveillance Systems
products.
Expert knowledge of product and process technologies or broad
knowledge of multiple product and process technologies.
Familiar with FAA certification processes.
Experience with resolving factory related issues and customer
returns.
Experience with oversight of hardware Qualification testing.
Ability to communicate project status and technical concepts with
Management and Customers.
Individuals who are self-motivated and able to work with little
supervision.
Ability to consistently demonstrate business impact and continuous
drive for improvement.
Ability to influence customers and cross-functional teams to
deliver optimal outcomes.
Ability to consistently make timely decisions and balancing
systematic analysis with decisiveness in an ambiguous
environment.
Strong influence skills.
