for the long term.What is a Corporate Events Planner?The Corporate
Events Planner is responsible for supporting Cinemark objectives by
contributing to the design, development and execution of a variety
of employee events. Candidates will bring experience in corporate
event planning for meetings, incentives, conventions and
sponsorship events. This team works "hands on" with event
technology, so experience leading team process improvement
leveraging technology resources is required. Individual needs to
have experience with complex budget management, strong
communication skills and strong project management skills. This
role needs to collaborate, communicate and interact with employees
including all levels of corporate management, internal colleagues,
retailers, brokers, and suppliers to maximize event effectiveness.
The role requires significant 'customer first' orientation, strong
project management, keen attention to detail and ability to
effectively manage multiple priorities.A Day in the Life of a
Corporate Events Planner:
- This person must actively seek to contribute to a best-in-class
team on a daily basis. In addition, the role requires high personal
levels of judgment, drive and influence.
- This individual will interact with senior leadership and should
have a polished presence and should be able to manage and
communicate Cinemark's objectives, priorities and expectations to
internal and external customers
- Provide continuous coaching and mentoring support to assisting
staff. Collaborate and implement individual developmental plans
with specific measurable, achievable, and competitive goals.
Monitor and evaluate progress on business and developmental
objectives.
- Leverage strong project management discipline to establish
planning principles, critical dates and deliverable expectations
for all events. Direct the planning, development and execution of
all elements required for approximately 15 corporate events
annually. Develop program structure and elements based on key brand
initiatives and marketing objectives.
- Execute and manage all program elements including registration
planning, hotel and housing planning, authoring communications,
planning transportation (air & ground), audio/visual production,
product/brand provisioning, etc. Establish overall program
objectives; develop and implement measurement tools to determine
performance. Analyze program objectives and performance and provide
comprehensive evaluations for all events upon their conclusion
measuring ROI.
- Evaluate and recommend program structure changes or
enhancements for continuous improvement. Provide leadership and
management to overall program budgets and financial processes for
Corporate Events. Oversee and manage budgets for all event programs
through strategic forecasting and monitoring of all expenditures to
fully leverage event potential.
- Ensure that budget forecasts and updates and complete budget
reconciliations for each event are submitted to the appropriate
stakeholders. Analyze program charges/invoices and maintain budget
reconciliations.
- Demonstrate ability to update, maintain and analyze measurement
tools. Perform ongoing research on our strengths and opportunity
areas, as well as those of our competitors. Leverage functional
expertise, supplier/partner knowledge and industry information to
drive thought leadership in partnership marketing and assist
business leaders with tackling pressing issues You Will Need to
Have:
- Bachelor's degree or MBA preferred Minimum of 7+ years in event
planning/management or corporate sponsorships industry
- Working knowledge of event planning technology and track record
of leveraging technology for maximum efficiency
- Strong negotiation skills Strong oral, written and presentation
skills
- Excellent communication skills, both cross functionally,
vertically, both internally and externally at all levels
- Excellent project management and leadership skills
- Track record of managing and working with high performing team
with structured performance management processes
- Managing all aspects of the event planning process and
coordinating with other departments to ensure that all details are
taken care of
- Review invoices from vendors to ensure accuracyThis job
