As the company's second line of defense, Corporate Risk - or Independent Risk Management - provides independent oversight of risk-taking activities. Independent Risk Management establishes and maintains Wells Fargo's risk management program and provides oversight, including challenges to and independent assessment of, the frontline's execution of its risk management responsibilities. We manage risk according to the Risk Management Framework and ensure all employees understand their individual accountability for managing risk.

Consumer and Small Business Banking - ITV has responsibility of testing activities for Branch Banking, Small Business Banking, Deposit Products, Marketing and Operations . This team is seeking an Associate on the CSBB-Operations testing team responsible for testing requirements in the Operations group that supports Consumer and Small Business Banking. This team member will participate in engagements aligned to the Customer Service line of business under the CSBB Operations group providing independent assurance on the design and operating effectiveness of business controls in accordance with Enterprise standards.

This Associate will have the following responsibilities:

Executes review activities in an effective manner and communicate potential emerging risks appropriately. May serve in either a control script execution and/or review lead capacity, participating in review activity engagements in a matrixed environment, and communicating emerging risks to management. Completes review activities on schedule. Raises schedule delays to the review activity lead. Escalates any potential issues discovered during the completion of review activities to a review lead, and follows through on reporting, escalation, and resolution. Completes all documentation under supervision and appropriately retains all work papers, (testing schedule, templates, work-papers, deferrals, deviations, etc.). Supports and implements initiatives with low to moderate risk. Internal interaction with team to support risk oversight and monitoring. Limited to no external interaction. Works independently; does not manage other employees.

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in risk (includes compliance, financial crimes, operational risk, audit, legal, credit risk, market risk, IT systems security, business process management demonstrated through work or military) or 1+ year in the foregoing or financial services industry and a BS/BA degree or higher in business or a related field

  • Good analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Solid critical thinking skills

Other Desired Qualifications

  • Call Center Management or Oversight experience
  • Experience in Audit, Compliance, Risk and Testing
  • Can evaluate both the adequacy and effectiveness of policies, procedures, processes, systems and internal controls; while analyzing business and/or systems changes to determine impact.
  • Knowledge or experience on testing topics, risk types, line of business process walkthroughs, test results, quality assurance, researching, and issue identification.
  • Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS)
  • Certified Financial Crimes Specialist (CFCS)
  • Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)
  • Certified Internal Auditor (CIA)
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
  • Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM)
  • Certified Risk and Compliance Management Professional (CRCMP)
  • Certified Risk Professional Program (CRP)
