340B Product Manager

We are searching for a sharp, analytical, action-oriented, passionate individual to join the team and take full product line ownership by identifying problems to be solved in the market, driving the development of new features and solutions, documenting functionality, and lead launch/organizational readiness activities.

This role will be focused on supporting the backend processing, configuration, and qualification processes related to 340B. The 340B Product Manager would prioritize work against clear outcome-oriented goals, discover and validate real customer and business value, and identify processes needed to reduce the uncertainty that the product will succeed in the market, but also be comfortable playing the Product Owner role on a Scrum team by prioritizing and grooming the backlog as well as documenting/creating clear requirements for the development team.

The Product Manager / Owner will lead the business design and develop Omnicell's 340B product vision for capability roadmaps, ensuring alignment against strategic drivers and high-risk initiatives. S/he will act as a high-level technical design expert and will partner closely with teams across Omnicell to understand current and future business objectives for each area.


  • Full ownership and subject matter responsibility for all aspects of assigned product lines
  • Creating and document overall product vision/roadmap
  • Market Research and Identifying problems in the market worth solving
  • Develop strategic and operating marketing plans for a product or product lines across geographies and markets through market research, value proposition, competitive analysis, pricing, customer engagement, and business planning. Bridges customer business requirements and broader market trends, indices, and capabilities to technical feature sets
  • Prioritize work against clear outcome-oriented goals, discover and validate real customer and business value, and identify processes needed to reduce the uncertainty that the product will succeed in the market
  • Design and coordination of product launch, organizational readiness, and adoption plan activities with training, support, Implementation, sales, and marketing
  • Write formalized business and functional requirements as well as creating the appropriate user stories and acceptance criteria that are formally reviewed with business stakeholders for approvals
  • Break down high-level business and user requirements into a functional product design based on MVP, then Groom user stories and requirements with the development team
  • Can run grooming meetings, sprint planning, daily standups and set daily priorities for development staff as needed
  • Maintain a healthy and groomed backlog of future work (e.g., Feature enhancements and bug/defect resolution)
  • Selects customer features and functions for development and helps Agile Product Owners prioritize features and functions for product releases
  • Focus obsessively on the user's experience and creating trust between the users and our solutions
  • Creating solution prototypes
  • Work with various internal business stakeholders and external 3rd party companies to identify and document designs and specifications
  • Monitor software projects through the software development life cycle and proactively assess then mitigate project risks to ensure projects are delivered in a timely manner
  • Delivers both internal and external presentations on status and future strategies for the product(s)
  • Handle multiple projects at a time and effectively prioritize to achieve optimal results
  • Negotiate with stakeholders on timelines and ensure delivery as committed
  • Oversee the change control/change management discussions and processes for the assigned business unit
  • Create support FAQs and provide internal team in-service on product releases
  • Develops product transition/end-of-life strategies

Required Knowledge and Skills

  • Has strong analytical abilities and a solid understanding of the P&L to develop strategies and programs to drive increases in revenue and profits
  • Understanding Product Owner is a role you play on a Scrum team, and Product Manager is the job
  • Can solve problems holistically and know how to iterate in achieving MVP

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or 5+ years of 340B experience in lieu of a degree
  • 3+ years experience in Pharmacy, Hospital/EMR, PBM, hospital revenue cycle, or 340B
  • 3+ years product manager experience working with a software development team in a SaaS company
  • Experience in market research, identifying problems worth solving with a proven track record of creating products, coordinating launch activities for going to market, and helping with the creation of adoption plans
  • SQL Experience (running & writing queries for retrieving and updating data)
  • Experience using diagramming techniques (UML, BPMN, or any other diagramming tool)

Preferred Qualifications

  • 340b split billing (mixed-use) or Contract Pharmacy experience
  • Formal Product Management Education or Certifications
  • 2+ years SSMS, MS SQL Server or Oracle RDBMS experience, ability to write SQL queries, importing and transforming data using T-SQL scripting
  • 5+ years of product management/marketing experience
  • 5+ years related experience in Pharmacy, Hospital/EMR, PBM, hospital revenue cycle, or 340B
  • Agile experience
  • Apexus 340b University on Demand Certificate
  • Apexus Advance 340B Operations Certification
  • Knowledge of V-Lookup
  • C# for code review as needed
  • Knowledge of EDI x12 file format, integration, and 3rd party wholesalers
  • Experience with overseeing the implementation of Single Sign-On and Multi-Factor Authentication
  • Experience with Telerik or SRSS reporting creator tools
  • Familiarity with 3-tier application architecture
