Bank of America is looking to build out their testing capabilities in the Plano, TX. The QA Analyst is a valued team member that works closely with our business and technology partners to achieve optimal test coverage and ensure high quality software is delivered to our customers. The QA Analyst is expected to learn the business and technical components of the applications to carry out test planning, creation of test cases/scripts, test execution, defect management and drive issue resolution in an environment of diverse development platforms, computing environments, software, hardware technology and tools. A technical background, test automation experience, financial domain knowledge and experience in working in a global delivery team are a plus. Required Skills:

  • Familiarity with modern development approaches like Agile/SCRUM/Lean & BDD
  • Exposure to enhance test automation framework with industry standards. (Selenium. TOSCA, TestComplete, QTP)
  • Performs tests at all levels of testing along with prreparing the test data that is needed to perform the test.
  • Familiar with Software Testing lifecycle including test planning, test case design, execution, defect tracking and reporting
  • Software development background and knowledge of databases (Oracle, SQL).
  • Proficiency in writing SQL queries
  • Experience in defect management tool such as JIRA along with analyzing open defects and adding the necessary information to reproduce issue.
  • Technical mindset to learn new technologies and applications
  • Ability to work in dynamic environment with minimal supervision in globally distributed teams. Also, work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Actively participates in meetings with and offers his/her own methods for solving the possible issues.

General Job Description:

Responsible for testing and delivering complex software requirements to accomplish business outcomes. Ensures that software is tested to meet functional, non-functional, and compliance requirements. Helps condition and generate test data, builds and executes both manual and automated test suites, record and communicate the test results, and assist with triaging defects. Ensures regression test suites are maintained and well designed. Develops detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test cases based on functional, non-functional, and compliance requirements. Leads test planning, usually at a team level. When part of a Scrum team, ensures stories are well refined and contains clear acceptance criteria. Ensures in-scope and out-of-scope items are clearly identified during test planning. Implements the test framework for the team. Leads test case reviews and works with subject matter experts and stakeholders to ensure test coverage. Identifies automation opportunities and develops test automation for applicable test types. Helps condition and generate test data and ensure data compliance requirements are met on all levels of test environments. Assists in identifying and managing sensitive test data. Uses testing tools and follows processes to complete testing on a given test environment, and assists with fulfillment of necessary steps required to promote code base to higher level environments.
