Mortgage Investor Services Loan Accounting Analyst
This position is primarily responsible for ensuring accurate
records pertaining to: lien releases, custodial document
management, partial releases, investor loan status reporting and
invoice processing. The position is also responsible for
maintaining an effective working relationship with internal
customers in secondary marketing and post-closing while overseeing
the relationship with the bank's document custody vendor. The
position will support other investor reporting responsibilities
such as transacting loan sales, modification and recast booking,
daily funding and clearing GL outages.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)
Review payoff activity to produce and record lien releases and
coordinate the proper execution of documentation to retrieve
original collateral documents from the Custodian Perform quarterly
reconciliation of servicing portfolio records to the collateral
held by the Custodian Perform tasks to oversee the partial release
requests including investor approval, document preparation and
recording Perform loan maintenance within MSP to ensure accurate
servicing and reporting of default, reinstatement and paid in full
transactions to investors and insurers Process servicing loan
accounting transactions including but not limited to:
reclassifications, payment of investor and insurer invoices and
vendor invoices Assist in the gathering of documentation to fulfill
internal and external audit requests Participate in completion of
various investor services related projects as assigned Provide
back-up to investor reporting and accounting as needed
ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESONSIBILITIES
- Performs other duties as requested by manager
- Provide exceptional servicing support to customers and loan
- Adherence to all First United Policies and Procedures
- Other miscellaneous duties as assigned

Education and Work Experience
- High School diploma or GED required, college degree
- Loan servicing required preferably in the areas of: paid in
full maintenance, document custody and investor reporting
- Investor reporting and accounting experience preferred
- MSP experience required and AS400 experience preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel is
- Exceptional interpersonal communication skills.
