POSITION SUMMARY:

This is a remote position with approximately 20% travel to the corporate office in Plano, Texas

As a Senior Learning Developer at FedEx Office, you will be part of a passionate team of Learning & Development professionals who seek to create engaging and exciting learning experiences. The Senior Learning Developer is responsible for leading efforts around creative and effective design, development, implementation, and support of technology-based learning solutions. Through collaboration with the Learning Enablement Team, Communications, and other FedEx business partners, you can bring your creativity, cutting edge technical know-how, and passion for adult learning to create best in class learning programs and solutions. Solutions may include development of eLearning, infographics, videos, and other online learning deliverables. These solutions also may include implementation and maintenance of various systems and tools including the FedEx Office Learning Management System (LMS), the virtual hosting environment, the SharePoint intranet site, and the online assessment tool. Additionally, the Senior Learning Developer is responsible for mentoring peers and teammates, working with vendors, and presenting projects to leadership.

GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Leads and assists the manager in allocating people, technology, and financial resources across development projects.
  • Mentors and provides feedback to teammates on content development best practices, standards, and new approaches.
  • Builds knowledge and refines skills in curriculum development methods, tools, and technology.
  • Serves as primary Design liaison for Learning Enablement, Internal Communications, Marketing, and other business areas as identified.
  • Consults and makes recommendations on media requests, partnering with Internal Communications, to determine the best solution.
  • Partners with Instructional Designers to define plans/approaches for projects requiring eLearning, complex development, and graphic/ creative support.
  • Partners with Project Manager on eLearning projects (or portions of larger projects) to create milestones, project timelines, and statements of work (where appropriate).
  • Designs, develops, launches, and maintains quality solutions that provide creative and innovative organizational impact.
  • Prepares deliverables for use with various technology-based systems including the Learning Management System, Virtual Learning Environment, and SharePoint Web Site.
  • Attends intake/assessment meetings, project update meetings, etc. to gather business requirements, provide status reports, ensure responsive communication to business owners and SMEs, and identify any variations in contracted project requirements/scope.
  • Owns and manages the Talent Management pages of FedEx One, the intranet SharePoint site.
  • All other duties as needed or required

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • 7+ years eLearning design, development and implementation experience or LMS administration experience
  • 3+ years instructional design or training/facilitation experience preferred
  • 2+ years project leadership experience preferred
  • Prior experience working with instructional design principles and practices (ADDIE) including adult learning theories, interactive training and learning design, eLearning design principles for both synchronous and asynchronous strategies
  • Prior experience with the ISD process including performance analysis, training needs assessment, task analysis, design, development (including storyboards, scripts, and course content), and evaluation preferred
  • Prior experience working with industry-standard eLearning development tools such as Articulate Storyline/Studio, Trivantis Lectora, Adobe Captivate, Adobe Creative Suite
  • Prior experience working with video editing tools such as Adobe Premiere (Apple Final Cut Pro)
  • Prior experience working with learning technology infrastructure including LMS, Virtual Learning Environments, and video hosting solutions preferred
  • Prior experience with eLearning industry standards (AICC/SCORM) preferred
  • Prior experience consulting with others and ability to work in a collaborative environment
  • Prior experience working with corporate executives and subject matter experts
  • Prior experience working with graphic design, videography, and/or website development
  • Prior experience with instructional and curriculum design, and adult learning principles
  • Prior experience with HTML and CSS/table-less layouts (ActionScript & JavaScript) preferred
  • Prior experience managing vendor relationships preferred
