Liberty Mutual Insurance has an excellent claims opportunity available within our recently expanded Claims Support organization. GRM Claims provide an expert claim shared service model through its Claims Service Centers, Claims Subrogation, and Claims Support operations, which are 1,300+ employees strong across 8 offices in U.S. We recently announced the expansion of the Claims Support organization in Plano, Texas. In this position, you will have the opportunity to be on one of two new teams and will be responsible for obtaining and maintaining essential information required to sell vehicles for salvage. You will also provide quality customer service to meet the needs of the insured, claimant, all internal and external customers.Responsibilities:* Reviews, evaluates and categorizes incoming documents; verifies information for accuracy/appropriateness and follows up with others for missing or questionable data; prepares and assembles documents for additional handling by other associates or for distributing to outside contacts. * Enters and retrieves information of varying complexity using computer systems and applications to update records, obtain information for others and respond independently to most questions and problems.* Uses advanced skills and business knowledge to prepare insurance forms/documents (identification cards, certificates, endorsements, schedules, etc.), correspondence and process other insurance transactions to provide customer service and support efforts to acquire and retain profitable business. * Performs other related support duties as requested, such as answering phones, processing mail, assisting customers, scanning, photocopying and insurance check processing (e.g., returning-and-canceling checks). * Demonstrates subject matter expertise and continuously builds product, procedural and technical systems knowledge. * Assists with departmental training and communication as needed. May assist with quality reviews related training/transition of work.* Supports and assists with office and or department projects and programs.Salvage Outcomes and Expectations:* Reasonable expectations set, updated as needed, and ultimately exceeded* Efficiently communicate any actions needed from the customer, making the process as easy as possible* Effectively share expertise and information regarding status and next steps by engaging internal stakeholders* Claim documentation & customer/vendor correspondence is a clear, concise record of actions taken, anticipated next steps, and rationale for decision* Proactively manage day-to-day priorities, balancing new assignments with active inventory* Achieve optimal recovery/disposal, leveraging available state specific methods & processes* Execute with speed and urgency to prepare vehicle for sale, including obtaining all necessary paperwork, vehicle access, and keys* Creatively solve for incomplete information and communicate solutions to internal stakeholders* Utilize vendor tools in a timely manner to price salvage accurately and ensure greater than or equal to market value returns* Maintain awareness of expenses throughout, seeking opportunities to mitigate costs with internal stakeholders and vendors* Ensure state specific and federal regulatory compliance* Adhere to office of corporate compliance guidelines* Behave responsibly and act with integrity and respectWorking Schedule will be an 8 hour shift between 7 AM - 6 PM, Monday - Friday.Qualifications:* Dependability, attention to detail, ability to follow/interpret procedures, and employ reason to accomplish non-routine tasks and duties.* Advanced level of skill required to open, create and modify various documents using the Microsoft Office suite (e.g., documents, spreadsheets, e-mail, etc.) and enter/retrieve information using various applications/systems.* Ability to effectively exchange routine and non-routine information verbally and in writing and apply knowledge of the department`s policies and procedures.* Requires excellent oral, written, interpersonal communication and keyboarding skills, along with the capacity to multi-task in a structured work environment.* High school education or equivalent, plus at least 1-2 years of relevant customer service or administrative experience.* Strong working knowledge and ability to utilize multiple systems to handle/process claims
