Job Title: Systems Administrator SpecialistMultiple Positions AvailablePosition: AS20201510-51900Job Location: Plano, TX Job Description:Under general supervision this role is responsible for day-to-day operational maintenance, support, and upgrades for operating systems, workstations and servers. Major Responsibilities/Activities/Statements:* Provide Systems Administration of all operating systems* Install software and upgrades to operating systems and layered software.* Perform work in accordance with established IT & Security policies and procedures.* Enforce change management and compliance processes.* Monitor and tune systems to achieve optimum performance levels.* Provide engineering applications and licensing support for various software applications and other engineering tools.* Ensure workstation/server data integrity by evaluating, implementing and managing HW & SW solutions. * Set up classified hardware and software, implement configuration management, and conduct required audits.* Ensure data/media recoverability through implantation of a schedule backup and archive system.* Assure compliance with standards through performance of HW & SW audits of workstations and servers.* Perform user support functions as needed.* This role will require excellent customer service and experience in a professional service environment with responsibility for supporting multiple applications and network environments.* Ability to multitask and work with minimal supervision.* Will be collaborating in a multi-disciplinary, diverse, and dynamic team environment, must have excellent people skills.* Must have outstanding work ethic and commitment to organization success.* Will require excellent communication skills (written, verbal, & presentation)* Ability to obtain and maintain any additional clearances as required.* Ability to travel up to 15%* Other duties as assigned. Required Skills and Experience:* U.S. Citizenship* Existing DoD Secret clearance with current 5 year update, preferred Top Secret* Must have an AS in Computer Science, Information Technology or related degree and/or equivalent experience.* Minimum of 4 years related system administration experience.* Minimum of 4 years of working experience and expert knowledge of Active Directory administration and troubleshooting.* Minimum of 4 years of working experience supporting, maintaining and administering core Microsoft technologies with Windows Server 2012 (or beyond) and MS Exchange * Minimum of 4 years of VMware experience.* Security + certification* Working knowledge of Internet/Intranet technologies including security features* Working knowledge of network infrastructure and operations, including switching, routing, Ethernet, TCP/IP* Solid understanding of MS Windows operating systems* Experience working in the DoD industry * Security + certification required.* Excellent trouble shooting and problem-solving skills* Proficient with Microsoft Office products. Preferred Skills and Experience:* Understanding of Redhat Linux OS * BS in Computer Science, Information Technology or related degree and/or equivalent experience preferred.* Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. desired
