Counterparty Credit Infrastructure & Stress Counterparty Credit, Infrastructure and Capital (CCIC) is a global private side group with a presence in Plano, New York, London, Frankfurt and Hong Kong, and is part of Wholesale Credit Risk. CCIC has a wide range of responsibilities across derivatives, securities financing transactions and other traded products, including credit exposure methodology, infrastructure and tools, cross-portfolio view on risk, analysis of exposure for complex transactions, stress testing, wrong way risk, advanced regulatory capital models and counterparty risk data governance.

The team partners widely and in particular with Credit Officers, Capital & Liquidity Management, Quantitative Research, Model Review & Governance, Markets sales and trading, Credit Portfolio Group, Market Risk Management and Finance, as well as various technology teams. Role

Counterparty Credit Infrastructure & Capital is seeking a Vice President to support the strategic build of CCAR and BAU stress testing, alongside a solid understanding of counterparty credit exposure in order to own Qualitative Models and drive documentation and approval processes with Quantitative Research / Model Review and Governance. In addition to this specialty/leadership the role would also assist in the wider CCIC mandate. Specifically, the candidate will be responsible for the below:

Centre of expertise on counterparty exposure analysis and stress testing, in order to independently be able to work with QR on credit exposure modelling development for the purpose of CCAR and BAU stress loss modeling.

Facilitate regulatory requests, including knowledge sharing and orchestrate the execution of the counterparty CCAR submission.

Drive the planning, prioritization, and development of GAUSS, Stress Framework and CRI solutions, including interface with associated E2E delivery for counterparty credit exposure as it relates to CCAR stress testing.

Having oversight over calculated credit exposures for derivative- and security-based exposures, and an in-depth understanding of various risk parameters (e.g. Potential Future Exposure, Stress Exposures, Wrong Way) in order to support documentation for Qualitative Models and take it through effective challenge and approval by MRGR.

Partner with other bank groups (e.g. Market Risk, Technology) to ensure coordinated and comprehensive implementation of strategic designs and accuracy of transaction data, as well as stable and resilient systems for counterparty credit exposure, stress and contingent risks

Supporting other BAU projects to enhance stress testing and counterparty exposure management for credit officers (e.g. Potential Future Exposure modelling, Counterparty Loss Modelling)

Qualifications

8-10 years of relevant Risk, Counterparty Credit Exposure and Stress Testing experience

Stress execution in CCAR is a plus; includes navigating through technology platforms and exposure reporting to achieve desired results.

Strong all-round knowledge of trading products, spanning derivatives on the major asset classes (interest rates, equities, credit derivatives, commodities, FX, etc.) and repos, including exotic structures on these

Appreciation of the main risk drivers for traded products, including ideally an understanding of the counterparty credit exposure. Knowledge of ISDA/CSA documentation including the mechanics of collateral arrangements is desirable

Strong sense of accountability and ownership of responsibilities, must be diligent, self-motivated. Must be confident and commercial, and have the conviction to challenge and make a risk judgment, stick to it and be able to articulate why this is the case

Relevant experience in oversight and delivery of multi-faceted projects. Strong time management skills and comfort with dynamically shifting priorities, timelines, and demands

Must be highly numerate and have prior experience of working in a quantitative or analytical role that covered complex structures and their risks.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be articulate, and be able to explain technical concepts to non-specialists. Able to adjust communication style for a variety of situations and be able to hold their ground as required
