Role Summary

The Head of Small Business Payments Marketing is an exciting, newly created role reporting directly to the Chief Marketing Officer of Wholesale Payments within the Corporate & Investment Bank. The position will have accountability to the Managing Director of Small Business Payments Products and Managing Director of Small Business Payments Sales and Revenue. Chase is seeking a talented, well-rounded, analytical marketing leader to accelerate and elevate our efforts to become the #1 choice for Small Businesses in the payments space. This is a senior role with tremendous opportunity to develop innovative strategies that drive new streams of client business and deliver proven, high-impact marketing programs for a rich pipeline of new product solutions and services.

The candidate will lead a senior team of marketers to deliver strategic, growth oriented marketing programs across various market segments and distribution channels. The candidate will oversee the U.S. and Canada small business market, independent small business software providers and referral/channel partners. The candidate will be responsible for driving increased market share, client wallet share, and ultimately revenue through new and existing client business. This will be achieved through a diverse set of marketing disciplines including client and market research, product marketing and merchandising, digital performance marketing and lead generation, and client engagement. The ideal candidate must have proven success in building direct and digital performance marketing strategies, driving ROI-based programs, and leading and developing growth oriented teams. The role requires close engagement with senior- and executive-level stakeholders across Product, Sales and Business Banking to

influence, challenge and collaborate. The candidate must also have an intellectual curiosity to stay ahead of industry trends, an analytical focus to drive results, a collaborative approach to work across functional teams, a desire to employ innovative and modern marketing techniques, and an ability to drive a highly productive team through clear strategic plans.

Responsibilities

* Develop and drive delivery of integrated marketing strategies, product brand and messaging strategies, and tactical plans tied to the product roadmap.

* Develop and drive delivery of end to end client acquisitions, lead generation, client engagement, and product activation/upgrade strategies.

* Set team objectives, key results, and priorities in close collaboration with business partners and drive results through management oversight and reviews.

* Drive business reporting, analytics, budgeting, and forecasting working with finance and analytics to manage campaign performance and optimal return on marketing investments.

* Lead a team of senior marketing directors responsible for developing and delivering against the marketing plan for their respective segments and responsibilities.

* Drive client and market research to inform our market approach, drive segment relevant messaging, and create unique selling propositions for solutions and products.

* Foster a team culture of client focus, risk/control issue escalation, team diversity and inclusion, talent development and coaching, and clear and transparent communication.

Required Experience

* 10-15 years of marketing experience in a variety of marketing disciplines with particular emphasis on driving ROI-based marketing programs and product go-to-market strategies.

* Deep knowledge of direct and digital marketing strategies and tactics.

* Significant experience in developing and executing complex projects and navigating a matrix organization

* Exceptional strategic thinking and creative problem solving skills with the ability to translate strategy into action plans

* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills as well as abilities to build collaborative relationships with business stakeholders and to partner effectively with marketing partners

* Proven effectiveness in presenting and influencing at the executive level.

* Understanding of the payments industry landscape and market dynamics is preferred.

* Experience building and leading effective teams and passion for identifying and developing talent

* Bachelor degree required, Master's degree preferred influence, challenge and collaborate.
