service. We are seeking a Dock Supervisor for 2nd or 3rd shift to
include weekends, at our Lancaster, TX location, to supervise
assigned dockworkers and yard employees regarding work assignments
and work completion. Responsibilities: Directly supervise assigned
dockworkers and yard employees regarding work assignments and work
completion Train new dock and yard employees Counsel employees
regarding performance Recommend discipline up to and including
termination Inspect and manage all material handling equipment Plan
staffing for shift based upon work load and projected arrival times
Conduct daily, pre-shift safety communication meetings Conduct
daily yard inventory to include trailer, seal, and temperature
checks Unloading, storing, staging, checking, tagging, handling,
and loading of freight between the warehouse and inbound and
outbound trailers Monitor temperature environment of the warehouse,
the cleanliness of dock and warehouse, proper functionality of
doors, dock plates and material handling equipment Provide
leadership to the efficient coordination and execution of workflow
throughout the warehouse, consistently keeping safety, sanitation,
cost controls, productivity, accuracy, team environment, and
customer satisfaction in line with facility goals Work with
management and customer service personnel to ensure that all
requirements and requests are responded to rapidly and
professionally. Develop good working relationships at all levels
within the FFE team environment, leading and communicating as
needed to maximize individual and team performance Assist in
developing warehouse operations systems by determining product
handling and storage requirements, enforcing and evaluating
policies and procedures Ensure the accuracy of all loads received
into warehouse and shipped out of warehouse, completed any required
inspection paperwork thoroughly and at the time of receipt of
shipment Ensure all incoming products and packaging meet
specification. Ensure that all freight is properly identified and
labeled on all incoming and outgoing shipments Regular and reliable
attendance is required Other duties assigned by management
Qualifications/Skills: HS Diploma or Equivalent (College Degree
Preferred) 5 years of Warehouse experience in a refrigeration
environment Ability to work nights and weekends, any day or days of
the week Proficient in Microsoft programs such as Word, Excel and
Outlook AS400 experience is preferred, but not required Possess
excellent verbal and written communication Ability to solve
problems where work is defined with established instructions and
processes Ability to work under close detailed instruction Must be
able to comply with all company policies, rules, procedures and
Code of Conduct Must be able to interact well with others Must be
able to work independently, or in a team setting. Must be capable
of working under tight time constraints in a high volume
environment with multiple priorities Must have forklift driving
experience, and ability to operate warehouse equipment The
