Job Description:

Software Engineer-Aerospace - Plano, TX Summary: Software Engineer responsible for designing, developing, and implementing software of embedded devices and systems, as well as problem solving daily production issues with the team. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain the software for the aviation lighting and passenger information systems
  
• Support software quality assurance and optimize I/O (input/output) performance
  
• Interface with hardware design and development
  
• Collaborate with customers, internal teams, and vendors to fix and improve products
  
• Stay up to date with industry and competitive trends in technology
  
• Follow best practices in use of source control
  
• Participate in code reviews
  
• Provide postproduction support when needed
  
• Other duties as assigned
  Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  
  • Working Knowledge of RCTA DO-178 and DO-254 Required
    
  • C and C++ in an Embedded Environment
    
  • Real-Time kernels such as MicroC-OS-II and FreeRTOS
    
  • National Instruments LabView and LabWindows
    
  • Visual Studio C/C++/Basic, QT
    
  • Test equipment such as Digital Meter, Oscilloscope, Signal Generator, etc.
    
  • Serial interfaces such as RS232, RS422, SPI, I2C
    
  • Excellent communication skills
    Education/Experience:
    
    • BS Computer Engineering or equivalent experience required
