Job Description:
As a Principal Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase, you provide
expertise and engineering excellence as an integral part of an
agile team to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading
technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. Leverage
your advanced technical capabilities and collaborate with
colleagues across the organization to drive best-in-class outcomes
across various technologies to support one or more of the firm's
portfolios.
Job responsibilities
Creates complex and scalable coding frameworks using appropriate
software design frameworks
Develops secure and high-quality production code, and reviews and
debugs code written by others
Close engagement with Architects and Design Authority across other
areas of Consumer and Community Banking
Advises cross-functional teams on technological matters within your
domain of expertise
Participate in dev modernization and adoption of emerging/modern
technologies across the application suite
Continuous improvement of our DevOps, tooling and processes to
enable us to deliver more value
Influences leaders and senior stakeholders across business,
product, and technology teams
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts
and 7+ years applied experience
Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application
development, testing, and operational stability
Expert in one or more programming language(s) in the Java stack
(Core & EE, SpringBoot, Spring MVC, Spring Cloud)
Advanced knowledge of software application development and
technical processes with considerable in-depth knowledge in one or
more technical disciplines (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence,
machine learning, mobile, etc.)
Deep experience with UI/UX (React JS, Angular or equivalent)
Adept in SCM / DevOps / CI/CD tools & process (GIT/Bitbucket,
Maven, Ant, Jenkins, Sonar)
Hands-on experience with Big Data / NoSQL (Hadoop, Cassandra,
MongoDB, Pig/Hive)
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Experience with MicroServices & Layered (SOA/MVC) Architecture
Experience with Integration patterns and messaging technologies
(JMS, Mule, Kafka, RabbitMQ)
Experience with deployment of Cloud Platforms,
Container/Orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, Cloud Foundry)
Experience with Open Source and Cloud Technologies such as Apache
Storm / Ignite, ELK, Dynatrace, Grafana
