Overview:

Responsibilities:
The Business Intelligence (BI) Engineer develops, maintains, and
supports Raising Cane's BI data warehouse and data analytics
systems, business and ETL/ELT reports, including active involvement
in administration, documentation, support, and troubleshooting
these systems. This position participates in all phases of the
software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis,
functional design, technical design, coding, testing,
implementation, and post-implementation support. We seek a hands-on
engineer and problem-solver with deep database development and
administration experience. The role includes design, creation,
ETL/ELT, implementation, and monitoring jobs and tables to ensure
optimal performance. Expert ad hoc analysis skills along with solid
report development experience are essential. Working under moderate
supervision, this person will contribute to efforts to ensure the
business intelligence platform and tools meet the Company's current
and future goals. They will develop processes and solutions to
maximize security, resiliency, sc ability, availability, and
supportability. Must be highly collaborative with internal IT team
members, business partners, and external consultants to implement
BI solutions that deliver operational excellence. Proactively seek
to make improvements to the BI environment, applying the continuous
process improvement model. This person must possess excellent soft
skills, including communication, critical thinking, superb work
ethic, motivation, enthusiasm, eager to join a highly efficient BI
department.
Responsibilties:
--- Create solutions using Snowflake, SnapLogic, and Tableau. --
Create/enhance ETL/ELT packages/processes using SnapLogic for data
ingestion and transformation. -- Use semantic layer tools to
position data for business self-serve analytics --- Prepare
development estimates, create specifications, testing, and user
documentation in collaboration with your team members. ---
Collaborate in team processes and procedures to ensure a timely,
high-quality delivery and highly available systems. --- Provide
operational support for daily ETL/ELT processing, ensuring timely
and complete data is available for reports, and analytics. ---
Collaborate with your IT peers and business partners to focus on
production support, service requests, and roadmap initiatives to
ensure a balanced delivery of services and solutions aligned with
business objectives. --- Proactively research and implement courses
of action to prevent system/security problems. --- Provide
technical application support to the non-technical user community.
--- Communicate project and task status to the BI Director and
Manager.
Qualifications:
--- Development (must have cloud-based analytics database
technology experience, Snowflake): -- Deep knowledge of database
concepts with real-world experience implementing data warehouse,
data lakes, and data marts in a production environment. --
Experienced ETL/ELT developer, including data flow, data
extraction, data consolidation, change data capture, and
transformation. -- SnapLogic experience desired, alternative
extract tools (Matillion, Fivetran, dbt, etc.) acceptable. --
Ability to monitor and maintain production environment, assess
performance issues, and respond to job failures. -- Excellent
diagnostic skills and problem-solving with the ability to
articulate the issues and steps needed to resolve quickly, both
verbally and written. -- Skilled at complex SQL coding, including
views, joins, and stored procedures development. -- Ability to
understand and update existing SQL quickly to provide insights. --
Creation of analytics data resources, preferably using a semantic
layer product such as AtScale or Kyvos.
--- Testing, Troubleshooting, and Support: -- Recognize data trends
and correct data quality issues quickly, completely, and
permanently. -- Unit test ETL/ELT packages. -- Participate in
design reviews. -- Troubleshoot data warehouse ETL/ELT and query
performance / accuracy problems.

role IT & BI play in it. -- Learn new technologies and products

Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
--- Must have -- Bachelor's Degree in computer science or related
technical discipline. -- Five to seven years of IT software
development experience. -- Minimum two years of Snowflake
development.
Minimum 3-4 years data warehouse development experience on cloud
platforms desirable.
Cloud data analytics development experience. -- Minimum four years
of experience with each of the following: -Data warehousing
practices and software development.
-Data modeling, data validation, and error reporting.
-Developing BI ETL/ELT. SnapLogic experience is a desirable. --
Minimum two years of experience developing analytics data
resources.
--- Desirable -- Restaurant and/or retail IT experience.
