Locations: VA - Richmond, United States of America, Richmond, VirginiaSenior Software Engineer, Full Stack (Remote - Eligible)This team is responsible for enforcing cloud best practices, compliance, & security by creating solutions that adhere to Capital One's Cloud guidelines. The team develops python applications that simplify the developer experience by streamlining compliance and security in AWS. A teammate can expect to get hands-on experience with several AWS services every day, whether they are managing resources via the AWS sdk (boto3), console, cli, or other build tools. The typical teammate has full stack experience which aids the development of our python web applications, lambda functions, databases, and open source packages we contribute to.This candidate should have Cloud experience and needs to know how to build complete applications on AWS that scale across our organization. They should have a passion for learning new technologies, innovating and driving change, and collaborating with other developers.Responsibilities:

• Full Stack Engineer capable of designing solutions, writing code, testing code, automating test and deployment
• Overall delivery of software solutions working in collaboration with product and other development teams
• Enforcing best practices, compliance, and security across multiple cloud environments
• Full participation in the Agile Scrum process
• Ready, willing, and able to pick up new technologies and pitch in on story tasks (design, code, test, CI/CD, deploy, etc)
• Able to research and learn new methodologies and technologies and bring knowledge to the teamPosition Provides Exposure To:
  • Back End Skills: Python, REST, Database (NoSQL, SQL).
  • DevOps/Platforms: Amazon Web Services (S3, RDS, EC2, ECS, Lambda, DynamoDB, etc.), Terraform, Docker.
  • Front End Skills: JavaScript, AngularJS, CSS, HTML
  • Testing: Pytest, Automated Performance and Regression/Functional Testing
  • CI/CD: Jenkins, Artifactory

    • Bachelor's Degree
    • At least 4 years of experience in software engineering (Internship experience does not apply)Preferred Qualifications:
      • 5+ years of python development experience
      • 5+ years of managing AWS environments and architecting on AWS
      • 5+ years of DevOps engineering experience
      • 3 + years of experience developing applications embracing Agile principles
