We coordinate complicated business processes across a huge (and growing!) fleet of microservices to do everything from sending real time alerts to deleting credit cards to releasing restricted accounts. We build our services using Java and Python, with technologies like Spring Boot, Drools, Camunda, Python, AWS Lambda, and AWS Step Functions underneath.You will: - -

• Work with product owners to understand desired application capabilities and testing scenarios - -

• Work within and across Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions across a full-stack of development tools and technologies

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • At least 4 years of professional software engineering experience (Internship experience does not apply) -Preferred Qualifications:
    • 5+ years of experience in at least one of the following: Java, Scala, Python, Go, or Node.js
    • 1+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or another cloud service
    • 3+ years of experience in open source frameworks

Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.Location is New York City: $161,900 - $184,800 for Senior Software EngineerLocation is San Francisco, California: $171,500 - $195,800 for Senior Software EngineerRemote roles in other areas of New York & California, and across Colorado & Washington: $137,200 - $156,600 for Senior Software EngineerCandidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI).
