We are seeking an experienced, motivated Senior Software Engineer
with full stack skills to participate in software development
within an Agile team supporting our Analytic Platforms and Services
department. You will be working on Runway, our internally developed
platform for managing the deployment of AI/ML predictive models.
You'll use your knowledge of the cloud, Python expertise, container
deployment and orchestration, DevOps, web services development, and
more to help us enhance and expand our deployment offerings for
data scientists. Designing and building with resiliency,
performance, and massive scale in mind will be key for our
incredibly diverse set of data science users, as well as the long
list of teams, systems, and apps that consume the hundreds of
models already deployed via Runway. You'll be a member of a mature
Agile squad with a diverse set of skills and contribute quickly and
meaningfully to Liberty Mutual's huge strategic initiative to
unlock the value of our data.
Bachelor's Degree in technical discipline preferably computer
science or software engineering
5+ years of professional software development experience
Proficient in Full Stack Development including Spring Boot,
TypeScript and React
Experience with Python, AWS, and container development
Knowledge of IT concepts, strategies, methodologies, architectures
and technical standards
Analytical, problem solving, and communication skills
Knowledge of design and development tools
Consulting, negotiation, and consensus building skills
Strong presentation and written communication skills
Desired Skills and Experience
AWS: container deployment and orchestration, DevOps (CDK,
preferably TypeScript), security (IAM), meeting enterprise
standards for AWS development and deployments
Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, AWS
ECS/Fargate, EKS, load balancing)
Proficient with AWS, DevOps, CI/CD, and microservices concepts
Agile software development experience
Familiarity with data science/machine learning concepts and
practices
Knowledge of Python-based ML Ops tools such as Flask, MLFlow,
Airflow and FastAPI
