This is a software development and system integration position for
Client's leading wireless packet core testing and emulation
product. The successful candidate will be developing application
software for Client's industry leading 5G wireless network testing
system. The successful candidate will implement new 5G ORAN test
solutions as well as enhancements to existing products. Product
areas include systems and system components used for testing
wireless RAN and core networks for compliance to several industry
3GPP standards. The primary focus of the position is on the test
specifications and the associated application software that
controls the test equipment to manage the test procedures and test

Define functional and performance test solutions for 5G SA and NSA
Open RAN DU testing, including requirements analysis and high-level
design. Analyze wireless standards from 3GPP, 3GPP2, and other
technical forums. Fully understand the requirements of the
customers and product managers.
Implement the test solution using C/C++ based state machine on the
Linux platform. Troubleshoot complex technical problems which
involve software and hardware systems.
Execute unit test and integration test of the implemented
Create technical design documents and source material for user
Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering,
Computer Science, or similar field from an accredited institution;
or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 8 years of related/applicable experience.
Excellent C/C++ coding skills and Good OOA/OOD knowledge.
Experience with TCP/IP based packet protocol stacks and protocol
Excellent real-time SW development skill on Linux.
Working experience of 4G/5G RAN and core network protocols.
System integration and validation experience of LTE/5G-NR radio
access functions (L1, MAC, RLC, RRC, PDCP) for both CP and UP based
on 3GPP standards.
Experience with carrier aggregation, multi-band, modulation,
pre-coding, beamforming, fronthaul compression, DSS, MIMO, Channels
(PDCCH, PUSCH, PUCCH, PRACH, etc.)
Understanding of ORAN split functions architecture and fronthaul
Experience with O-DU functional and performance testing are
Understanding of NAS layer protocol and UE emulation is a plus
Knowledge of 5G gNB DU/gNB CU, and F1 interface preferred
Experience with TCL script preferred.

Hands-on experience in working within a structured software
development environment that includes Requirements
Analysis/Definition, Design, Defect Tracking, Configuration
Management Software, and Structure Testing.
