Job Description:

Our client is looking to hire a Senior Systems Administrator on their team. This person will be responsible for supporting IT infrastructure initiatives along with other IT team members. This role will also involve providing mentorship to a Junior Systems Administrator. Our client is looking for a good team player who will wear multiple hats and have a great attitude when working through IT support issues. RESPONSIBILITIES

• Participate in the design, configuration, and administration of network systems. Must have knowledge of routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Manage and support Azure cloud platform.
• Maintain security measures and administer monthly testing and reporting to ensure things are running properly.
• Manage and troubleshoot VOIP phone systems.
• Support Office 365 deployment.
• Respond to various Windows systems issues, Active Directory, Exchange, SQL servers, and Message Archiver.
• Create various performance reports as needed and ensure systems and software are operating on current releases.
• Respond to IT tickets in a timely manner and escalate issues as needed. For recurring issues, work with IT team to come up with solutions.
• Provide monthly reports regarding the ticketing system and workflows.
• Maintain document management system and system documentation.
• Assist in training corporate employees in new systems applications and features.
• Performance testing for new applications, upgrades, or systems enhancements.
• Ensure licenses are up to date and are compliant for servers, IT equipment, and various software.
• Compliance with policies, rules, procedures, and guidelines related to SOX.
• Mentor junior system administrator and provide Tier II support for help desk escalations.
• Participate in a rotating on-call schedule.
• Provide excellent internal user support with a great attitude. REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor's degree in CS, IT or related field or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years supporting enterprise-level clients.
  • 3+ years' experience in Windows system administration
  • Azure cloud platform and O365 cloud support
  • Knowledge of Wireless LAN/WAN, network security, and firewalls
  • VPN support experience
  • Knowledge of VLANS, TCP/IP, DHCP and DNS
  • Virtualization support. Citrix Zen and Hyper-V preferred.
  • Experience with platform and application monitoring tools like Nagios and Solarwinds
  • Experience supporting SQL servers and administering web servers.
  • PowerShell scripting experience
  • Must be willing to be part of a 24/7 on-call rotation
  • Excellent internal customer support with a positive attitude
  • Willingness to help in various IT capacities where needed - provided by Dice
