Membership Recruiter is responsible for implementing a
comprehensive community engagement strategy in an assigned
geographic area, focusing on building relationships with community
members, volunteers, local partners, and service providers. This
role collaborates closely with GSNETX membership staff to provide
cross-functional support for community engagement and to coordinate
services and opportunities for girls and volunteers, ensuring
alignment with the organization’s mission and values. Key
responsibilities include executing marketing and sales campaigns to
increase awareness of and participation in Girl Scouting. The
Membership Recruiter generates leads to meet membership goals by
converting prospects into new adult volunteers and girl members, as
well as fostering community partnerships to enhance overall troop
membership growth. Additionally, the Recruiter works
collaboratively to ensure all membership activities are completed
and conversion goals are achieved. Maintaining a strong customer
focus, this role provides excellent service to volunteers,
caregivers, and girls through the development of local
administrative volunteers. Primary responsibilities include: (This
list may not include all duties assigned) The Membership Recruiter
is directly responsible for meeting individual membership goals for
girls and adults in designated areas. The coordinator collaborates
closely with the GSNETX Membership team to effectively serve
volunteers, community partners, and youth by: •Cultivating
relationships across diverse communities to create new
opportunities for young people that honor their cultures and
identities. This includes providing ongoing education about these
opportunities to staff and supporting community partners in
delivering them. •Building sustainable relationships with local
community leaders, school districts, and youth-serving
organizations to promote the value of Girl Scouts to increase
membership. •Advocating within the community to ensure that the
needs of young people are prioritized in the systems designed to
support them and the broader community. •Conducting outreach,
recruitment, and onboarding for troop leaders, mentors, community
partners, and other volunteers. •Providing exceptional internal and
external customer support to new members, troop leaders, mentors,
community partners, volunteers, and staff to meet or exceed GSNETX
organizational goals, including assisting in the placement of girls
and volunteers into troops within the geographic area. •Responding
promptly and efficiently to incoming requests, utilizing technology
and the customer relationship management system (CRM) for effective
communication tracking. •Collaborating with the cross-functional
membership team to implement and tailor annual campaigns aimed at
achieving overall membership recruitment goals in designated
geographic areas, with a specific focus on converting troop leaders
and girl members. •Managing the assigned area budget for
recruitment efforts. •Working with the supervisor to prioritize
responsibilities for maximum impact. •Attending Service Unit (SU)
Team Meetings during strategic times of the year. •Supporting
events and campaigns related to troop recruitment. •Performing
other duties as assigned. The Membership Recruiter also executes
strategic retention initiatives in partnership with retention staff
and volunteers, building relationships that empower and support
volunteers to reach more girls in impactful ways. OTHER •Must be
able to travel within established geographic areas and council
service centers, as necessary. •Must have reliable transportation,
hold a valid drivers’ license and meet GSNETX driving record &
automobile insurance requirements. •Performs other duties, as

requirements: •Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management,
Marketing/Sales or related field, or 1-2 years experience in a
sales/recruitment field preferred. •Minimum 1-2 years sales,
marketing and/or recruiting, applicable customer service management
and project management experience, or equivalent combination of
education and practical work experience. •Excellent verbal and
written communication skills. •Strong interpersonal skills with the
ability to communicate effectively and build authentic
relationships with people from diverse racial, ethnic,
socioeconomic, and gender backgrounds. •Strong organizational
skills and ability to manage multiple priorities at once.
•Experience with a volunteer workforce or membership organization
is a plus. •Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook,
Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. •Demonstrates and promotes a climate
of courtesy, respect, and professionalism to coworkers, the
volunteers served by this council, and others with whom her/his
position puts her/him in contact. •Adheres to the GSNETX’s equal

and pass a background check. Preferred Qualifications 1.Experience:
Demonstrated experience in supporting inclusive community
engagement efforts, preferably within the nonprofit sector.
Experience in community outreach and volunteer recruitment is
highly desired. 2.Commitment to Mission: A genuine passion for the
nonprofit sector, with alignment to the organization’s mission and
values, and a strong commitment to equity and continuous learning.
3.Relationship Building: Proven ability to build and maintain
strong relationships with community members, particularly those
from historically excluded groups. Excellent interpersonal and
communication skills are essential. 4.Team Collaboration:
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment,
collaborating with colleagues and community partners to achieve
shared goals. 5.Technology Proficiency: Knowledge of Microsoft
Office Suite and Salesforce is preferred. PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK
