Who we're looking for
Toyota's Corporate Shared Services Payroll Department is looking
for a passionate and highly motivated Payroll Time Management
Manager.
The primary responsibility of this role is to lead a team that
handles the time and labor reporting that supports the accurate and
timely payroll processing for 55,000+ team members across the North
American Operations (includes US, Canada & Mexico)
Reporting to the Sr. Payroll Manager, the person in this role will
lead and manage the Corporate Shared Services Payroll department's
objective to focus on accurate and timely payroll processing while
delivering an excellent team member experience.
What you'll be doing
Lead a team of 13 skilled analysts and consultants to ensure
delivery of accurate time & labor files according to set deadlines
for weekly and biweekly multi-state payrolls for a total of 55k
team members across the US and Canada.
Manage partnerships with third-party vendors related to payroll
processing and delivery, including special projects and process
improvements.
Practice process improvement techniques to identify, re-engineer
and enhance processes to improve quality and efficiency.
Identify and resolve escalations or complex issues with strong
emphasis on root cause analysis.
Demonstrate proficiency in utilizing multiple systems (i.e., HR,
Payroll, Time & Labor, Case Management, etc.) to support a unique
and complex organization.
Partner with CSS Project Services to prioritize business project
requests by working with key stakeholders to understand business
needs and validate changes related to various payroll systems.
Collaborate with key departments across the organization including
HR, Benefits, Compensation, Policy, and System Support to partner
and provide input on key policy and process changes.
Lead team for all assigned year-end and year-begin activities to
support new time & labor policies, system enhancements, and
statutory requirement changes.
What you bring
Bachelor's degree in business administration, Accounting, Human
Resources, or related discipline or equivalent professional
experience.
Demonstrated strong leadership and team-building skills with the
proven ability to influence and motivate team members and
collaborate across other groups in the organization.
Progressive years of time & labor processing experience for a
multi-FEIN/multi-state employer, with a minimum employee population
of 10K, utilizing UKG Workforce Central & Dimensions.
Thorough knowledge of US wage and hour laws and ability to apply
company policies, procedures, regulatory practices, and legal
requirements.
Proven ability to effectively lead, communicate and collaborate
across a diverse and highly complex organizational structure while
adapting and staying flexible to changing business needs.
Customer-first mindset with the ability to facilitate and build
business relationships based upon an understanding of the customer
needs and processes.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; analytical and
organizational skills.
Proven experience to be successful in a lead role for
cross-functional projects.
Experience with multiple HR/Payroll and Time & Labor systems,
including UKG Pro, Workday, UKG Workforce Central/Dimensions, and
Service Now.
Added bonus if you have
Advanced Degree.
Experience with time and attendance requirements in a manufacturing
environment.
Experience managing operations or help desk with a proven track
record of meeting SLAs.
Active American Payroll Association (APA) membership and CPP/FPC
designations.
Canadian time & labor/payroll processing experience.
