You will be responsible for the Retail Strategy for Samsung Electronics America and ensuring the Samsung brand is positioned to win in all retail environments. This role will work directly with senior leadership to pursue advantageous partners and apply retail insights that will define the retail strategy. Responsibilities will be over retail strategy, retail insights, and communication functions.

Role and Responsibilities


Retail Strategy

  • Lead the development of SEA retail strategy to support account sales, field sales, and product management team
  • Build and maintain cross functional partnerships with product management, marketing, , channel management, retail sales, to intake their requirements & strategies, and incorporate it into broader retail strateigy Suport the resolution of complex operational and organizational problems
  • Develop a strategic point-of-view/recommendation based on data analytics and build a illustrative storyline to communicate/syndicate across key stakeholders
  • Proactively monitor/track the progress and performance of key strategic initiatives
  • Support setting of short/long-term retail strategies, driving annual strategic planning, and defining success KPIs.
  • Retail Insights
  • Partner with data analytics teams to deliver actionable insights and to make informed strategic recommendations
  • Closely monitor industry, technology, and consumer shopper trends to extract market & consumer insights and identify opportunities to drive results for the Samsung brand in retail
    Skills and Qualifications

    Background and Competencies Required:

    • Bachelor's Degree with 8-10 years of directly related experience is required
    • Prior strategy/management consulting experience is required
    • Ability to communicate confidently and effectively with all levels of the organization
    • Prior telecommunication, retail, and/or CPG experience strongly preferred
    • Strong project management, analytical and interpersonal skills required
    • Must have demonstrable experience in developing presentations using a variety of MS Office applications, with strong proficiency in PowerPoint, and Excel
    • Travel Required: 20%

      • Analytical problem-solving and strategic thinking skills; quantitative analysis skills with ability to develop and deliver a compelling story using data to support position
      • Team player; possess the ability to work independently or in a team environment to achieve personal and team project goals
      • Driven to complete assignments on time, with an intent to exceed expectations
