Job Summary and Qualifications The CT Technologist performs quality diagnostic procedures in an accurate and timely fashion. Operates CT and X-ray equipment and processes images as required. Prepares CT room, equipment, supplies and medication as indicated for the procedure/exam being performed. Practices proper radiation safety techniques on all exams and ensures his/her direct reports and other staff members follow the same precautions. Maintains safe environment for patients, co-workers and visitors. Supports and helps achieve the departmental and hospital goals. Provides services to all age groups (infant to geriatric) What you will do in this role: You will compassionately assist and position patients on CT table. You will start IVs for contrast injection and when necessary. You will assess image quality and make adjustments when necessary. You will release customers with proper post procedure instructions. You will turn over and prepare the room using aseptic technique between patients and clean / sterilize equipment. You will follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines. What qualifications you will need: Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date. MRT State Licensure (TMB) Registered Radiographer (ARRT)(R)(CT) If associate does not holdARRT(CT)registration, associate shall obtain within 6 months of hire/promotion or completion ofcross-training program. One year of CT experience preferred.
