Pay: $46 per hour Shift Information: Nights Start Date: ASAP About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with United Health Care Staffing, Inc. to find a qualified CVICU RN in plano, Texas, 75023! RN CVICU – UHC Staffing RN CVICU Location: Plano, TX Start Date: 01-26-2026 End Date: 04-27-2026 Contract Type: Travel Contract Shift Type: Night shift, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM NOC. Specific days are assigned by the facility and may vary by schedule; expect 12-hour night shifts during the 13-week assignment. Roles & Responsibilities Provide expert, compassionate critical care for post-cardiac surgery and cardiovascular patients Monitor and interpret hemodynamics and titrate vasoactive medications safely Manage ventilators, advanced airway care, and complex respiratory needs Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and execute patient-centered plans Perform thorough assessments and document changes clearly and promptly Educate patients and families about care plans, procedures, and recovery expectations Respond rapidly to emergencies and participate in code and rapid response situations Mentor and support less experienced staff to maintain high-quality unit practice Qualifications Current, active Registered Nurse license (eligible for Texas licensure or compact licensure) Minimum 1 year of recent CVICU or critical care experience as stated in the assignment BLS and ACLS certifications required; PALS or specialty certifications a plus Demonstrated competency with hemodynamic monitoring, ventilators, and post-op cardiac care Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced unit Education Graduate of an accredited nursing program required; ADN or BSN acceptable; BSN preferred Knowledge & Skills Proficient in cardiac post-operative care and management of CVICU patients Skilled in arterial/central line monitoring, titration of inotropes and vasopressors Experience with ventilator management and advanced respiratory support Able to prioritize, multitask, and make timely clinical decisions under pressure Comfortable using electronic health records and documenting critical care interventions Benefits Generous housing stipend and travel support to make relocation easy Medical, Dental & Vision coverage to keep you healthy 401K retirement savings plan to help you plan ahead Life Insurance and disability options for peace of mind Paid Time Off to recharge between assignments Licensure assistance and reimbursement to simplify credentialing Referral bonus program for bringing great teammates on board A supportive CVICU team that values your expertise and growth Travel Perks: Explore Plano, TX Plano is a vibrant suburb with a lot to offer between shifts.
