Positions: 1 Shifts & Schedule: Full-time Nights, Thursday
Saturday, 7:00 PM 7:30 AM On-Call: Rotating call every 4 weeks with
2 holidays per year State: Texas Job Summary: The MRI Technologist
performs magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) procedures on ambulatory
and hospital patients under the general supervision of a
Radiologist. The role involves preparing patients, operating MRI
equipment, maintaining accurate records, and adhering to safety
protocols. Key Responsibilities: Perform high-quality MRI
procedures according to exam protocols in a timely manner.
Communicate effectively with patients and families, explaining
procedures and ensuring comfort. Prepare patients and MRI
equipment, including positioning, immobilization, and exposure
settings. Maintain safety by following infection-control, drug, and
radiation policies and sterile techniques as needed. Maintain
equipment and workspace, collaborating with engineers and
physicists for optimal operation. Screen patients and visitors
according to departmental policies. Verify, maintain, and document
patient records, consent forms, and safety precautions. Ensure
compliance with department standards for timely interpretation of
medical imaging. Serve as a preceptor, training new staff and
introducing new services. Respond to call duties as required.
Qualifications: ARMRIT or ARRT (MR) certification required. Minimum
of 1 year of MRI technologist experience preferred. Knowledge of
MRI procedures, anatomy, physiology, and safety standards. Strong
communication and customer service skills. Ability to work
independently and as part of a healthcare team. Maintain calm,
professional demeanor under stress. Ability to provide first aid
and emergency response when needed.
