Job Description:
Encompass Health Corporation, a leader in integrated healthcare
services, is seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or
Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our diverse team. This role
is crucial in providing top-notch patient care in our inpatient
rehabilitation hospitals. The ideal candidate will have a passion
for nursing and a commitment to delivering exceptional healthcare
services to patients recovering from various conditions including
strokes, orthopedic, neurologic, and cardiac issues. Provide direct
nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures,
and protocols of the facility. Monitor and report changes in
patient symptoms or behavior. Communicate with collaborating
physicians or specialists regarding patient care. Maintain accurate
patient medical records. Prepare and administer medications as
prescribed. Participate in the development of patient treatment
plans. Provide basic patient care or treatments, such as taking
temperatures or blood pressures, dressing wounds, treating
bedsores, giving enemas, or performing catheterizations. Strong
interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to maintain a high
level of professionalism under pressure. Excellent organizational
and time management skills. Proficient in clinical skills with the
ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Knowledge
of basic computer operations and clinical software systems. Medical
Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Valid state
license as an LPN or LVN. Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
required.
