Registered Nurse (RN) | Labor & Delivery Location: Plano, TX Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,609 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Labor/Delivery RN in Plano, Texas, 75075! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:00) Experience: Minimum of 1 year License: Valid RN License Certifications: NRP, Intermediate Fetal Monitoring, BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role Description: All candidates need to be able to work on Mother/Baby, as they will be required to float and cover that unit as well. The unit has 21 beds, 4 recovery rooms, 3 OR suites, and a 4-bed OBED. The unit staff consists of 80 professionals. Day shift includes 1 charge nurse, 10-12 RNs, 1-2 OB techs, and 1 unit secretary. Night shift includes 1 charge nurse, 7-9 RNs, 1 OB tech, and 1 unit secretary/PCT. Patient ratios follow AWHONN staffing standards. Equipment used includes GE fetal monitors, acumen, JADA, and EMR Meditec and CPN. There are no on-call requirements. May occasionally float to Mother/Baby or assist with feeder growers in NICU. Typical procedures performed include labor, delivery and recovery of patients, circulating in the OR, and caring for high-risk antepartum patients as needed. Triage and assess pregnant patients at all stages of pregnancy. Best personality fit includes a team player mentality, flexibility, and a positive attitude. Level IV maternity center caring for routine and high-risk obstetric patients. Availability for two weekends per schedule is required. Preference-based scheduling is available.
