Job Description & Requirements Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit Discipline: RN Start Date: ASAP Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Progressive Care Unit – Texas Start Date: January 5, 2026 Location: Plano, Texas Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants Schedule: Night shift, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, 36 hours guaranteed per week, every other weekend, call requirements included Highlights: 13-week travel assignment in a progressive care telemetry unit Work with an acute stepdown patient population requiring advanced monitoring and critical thinking Electronic medical record system in use (Meditech experience preferred) Floating to other units as needed based on facility census Supportive clinical environment with opportunities to develop specialized PCU skills Professional dress code with royal blue scrubs for RNs Requirements: Active, unencumbered RN license in Texas (temporary licenses will not be accepted) Minimum 2 years of acute care hospital experience Minimum 2 years of specialty experience in PCU or stepdown settings Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification NIH Stroke Scale certification required Meditech electronic health record experience preferred Why It's a Great Opportunity: This progressive care position offers the chance to work in a dynamic telemetry environment where you'll care for patients requiring close observation and advanced nursing interventions.
