Registered Nurse - 4 CUB
Patient Population:---Heart, Lung, and Vascular
Shift: -Full Time / 3/12's / Nights
Patient Ratios: - TELE 1:4--- PCU: 1:3, ICU 1:2
Type of Cases: -ICU/PCU/TELE We care for a wide cardiovascular patient population including post-TAVR, post-Robotic Lung Surgery, post-Vascular Surgery, EKOS, LVADs, CRRT, IABP, STEMI, NSTEMI, CHF, Cardiac Arrhythmias, DVTs/Pulmonary Embolism, PVD/PAD. (Unit does not recover post open-heart patients or manage Impella devices)
Required Experience: Minimum (1) -one year (prefer 2 years) recent full-time Telemetry/EKG experience, knowledge of basic hemodynamics and cardiac medications (experience with cardiac drips preferred). -

    Job Summary
    As a Registered Nurse, will oversee patient care provided by the healthcare team using a professional practice model. Your responsibilities include patient assessment, recognizing health issues, creating care plans, and assessing patient responses. -

    • You, as an RN, will conduct detailed clinical assessments, prioritize patient and family needs, create, implement, and evaluate care plans. Adjust plans to reach desired outcomes.
      
    • Building relationships, managing discomfort, staying professional are vital in therapeutic connections with patients and families.
      
    • Creating care plans reflecting values aids in resolving issues.
      
    • You will help educate patients, families, nurses, and community members to empower them with knowledge for better healthcare choices. Assess and document learning needs regularly.

    • You'll use different strategies for problem-solving with patients, families, and staff. Recognize limitations and prioritize safety, effectiveness, and efficiency in patient care planning and delivery.

        EDUCATION -- Grad of an Accredited Program
        MAJOR -- Nursing
        CERTIFICATION/LICENSE/REGISTRATION -- Registered Nurse (RN)
        Basic Life Support (BLS): BLS or BLS within 30 days of hire or transfer.
        EXPERIENCE: Minimum (1) -one year (prefer 2 years) recent full-time Telemetry/EKG experience, knowledge of basic hemodynamics and cardiac medications (experience with cardiac drips preferred).
