Position Summary:We are looking for a Clinical Workers Compensation Specialist to join our Plano and Arlington team. As the Clinical Workers Compensation Specialist, you will be responsible for generating new business to attain overall market growth and act as a liaison and case manager between referral sources and the acute rehabilitation hospital operations team as it applies to work related injury cases. The Market Workers Compensation Specialist will bridge the communication gap by providing education and assisting with care coordination services from pre-admission through discharge.Responsibilities:The Clinical Workers Compensation Specialist will use a collaborative process of assessment, planning, facilitation, care coordination and advocacy to ensure appropriate patient placement and meet an individuals comprehensive health care needsAct as a liaison between referral sources and the acute inpatient rehabilitation operations teamResponsible for assisting with meeting volume and revenue expectations for the market by increasing work injury referral volume for patients with rehabilitation needsInitiate new partnerships with prospective clients in the Workers' Compensation Industry by utilization of strategic business planning and industry/market analysis to identify opportunities for growthProactively participate in professional industry related associations to establish and maintain contacts in community. These events will include local travel, luncheons, health fairs, conferences, and after hour social functions.Develop relationships with direct referral sources such as short-term acute hospital care coordinators, physicians and medical practices, surgery centers, outpatient clinics, skilled rehab and neuro rehab facilities, home health companies, insurance carriers, field case managers, insurance adjusters, employers and othersAssists internal case managers with coordination of care for injured/disabled individualsInterpret and educate the individual on his/her disability, and the treatment plan established by clinical teamMinimum Qualifications:Experience: Proven successful sales, marketing, or claims management experience in the Workers Compensation industry preferredClinical foundation and knowledge of Acute Rehabilitation services preferredLicensed RN, OT, PT, ST and/or Case Management experience requiredExcellent verbal and communication skills requiredProficient with computer applications; Microsoft Office and Teams requiredKnowledge of workers compensation and disability industry preferredUnderstanding of WC Claims process and regulations in assigned state preferredKnowledge, Skills and Ability Requirements:Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Strong organizational, time management and prioritization skills.Strong analytical and critical thinking skillsDetail-oriented, able to meet strict time framesJoin our team and you will experience a total rewards package to support your health, life, career and retirement including:A supportive and collaborative work environmentOpportunities to progress in function, skill, and payA competitive wageA comprehensive health and wellness package including medical, dental, and prescription drug coverageWe offer a benefits package that will best suit your familys needs.
