It is why our NICU is equipped with state-of-the-art, intensive care nursery technology, and we are staffed by a collaborative and compassionate team of medical professionals. We are an amazing team, that works hard to support each other and are seeking a phenomenal addition like you, who feels patient care is as meaningful as we do.What you will do in this role:
  • You will perform comprehensive nursing assessments regarding the health status of the premature infant patient, following standards of care and disease specific protocols.
  • You will plan, implement and evaluate patient care plans to optimize outcomes and maximize available resources.
  • You will provide direct nursing care and supervise non-licensed nursing staff within the RN's scope of practice and in accordance with established policies.
  • You will provide education and emotional support to premature infants through 2 years of age, culture, condition, and circumstance and incorporate patient/family teaching into all aspects of nursing practice.What qualifications you will need:
    • Must have at least one (1) year NICU RN experience in an acute care hospital
    • Associate Degree. BSN required within 24 months of hire.
    • Registered Nurse License
    • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
    • Neonate Resuscitate must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
    • STABLE must be obtained within 60 months of employment start dateThis role requires you to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 based on local, state and /or federal law or regulations (unless a medical or religious exemption is approved).Medical City Plano opened in 1975 and provides Plano and Collin County with advanced health care.
