Surgical PreOp Registered Nurse PRN Day Shift 6A 2:30P The PreOp RN develops, coordinates, andimplements a plan of care based on patient assessment, knowledge of surgicalprocedures, anesthesia plan, physician orders, application of relevantpolicies/procedures and AORN/ASPAN guidelines. Assesses patient prior to surgery Administers pre-operative medications and starts IVs Ensures that operative and informed consents aresigned and in order Incorporates teaching into all aspects of nursing practice

Qualifications What you need to be successful: ADN required / BSN preferred Texas RN license or compact license isaccepted Current BLS and ACLS issued by the AmericanHeart Association or American Red Cross required Musthave at least one (1) year PreOp or Outpatient RN experience in an acute carehospital -OR- May consider an RN with 3 current years of Med Surg experience inan acute care hospital We arean equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
