and expertise!Job Summary and Qualifications The Registered Nurse
Trauma Coordinator works with trauma program leadership to
coordinate all aspects of the department's Performance Improvement
and Patient Safety (PIPS) Program. The PI Coordinator will review
the continuum of care to determine compliance with practice
management guidelines, policies and procedures, and established
standards of care. Shift: Full Time Day Shift Weekdays Only What
you will do in this role:You will assist in the development,
implementation and evaluation of the Trauma Performance Improvement
and Patient Safety Plan.You will maintain the Trauma PI database to
ensure adequate documentation as required by regulatory
agencies.You will complete concurrent review of cases to identify
quality, timelines and systems of care to meet state standards.You
will participate in hospital education programs for nurses and
resident physicians caring for trauma patients.You will serve as a
liaison to the clinical areas responsible for trauma patients.You
will coordinate multidisciplinary monthly Trauma Systems &
Operations Committee and Peer Review meetings. What qualifications
you will need:Registered NurseBachelors DegreeCurrent BLS issued by
the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
requiredCurrent TNCC requiredACLS and ENPC preferredMust have at
least four (4) years of Emergency or ICU RN experience in an acute
care hospital This role requires you to be fully vaccinated for
COVID-19 based on local, state and /or federal law or regulations
(unless a medical or religious exemption is approved). Medical City
Plano opened in 1975 and provides Plano and Collin County with
advanced health care. Medical City Plano is a 600+ bed acute care
