POSITION TITLE: RN/LVN Tele-Care Nurse ( Christian Pro Life Organization )CLASSIFICATION: Non Exempt 25 LVN, 27-28 RN ( 6 Month Temp Role To Possible Extension )TYPE: Full time ( Monday - Friday ) WeekdaysREPORTS TO: Telecare Nurse ManagerSUMMARY:The Tele-care Nurse role provides services and support to clients and maintains professional standards of care, following the ANA Code of Ethics and is responsible for organizing, planning, mentoring and assessing the medical services provided by the practice in order to assist Human Coalition achieve its mission of existing to rescue children and serve families across America. Human Coalition is an innovative, energetic, compassion-driven non-profit organization with the purpose to end abortion.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Nursing ProcessTrains and supervises professional and ancillary personnelOversees nursing services in the clinicOversees the collection of objective and subjective client data initially and on an ongoing basis that is thorough and accurate in relation to the ultrasound servicesMaintains accurate records, care-plans and follow-through on physician's ordersAssures accurate implementation of physician's orders and plan of careOversees client follow-up per plan of care and standardized proceduresClient CareEvaluates client's response to components of existing plan of care each visitCommunicates pertinent information to the Medical Director according to policies and procedures set forthDocuments the delivery of client care in compliance with professional practice standardsIntervenes to promote client safety and security in manners consistent with the ethical and legal parameters of the scope of the professional nurse's practiceOffers counseling and emotional support to client and family/significant otherInforms clients of their rights and responsibilities and interacts with clients in a manner which upholds the sameProtects clients' health information for confidentiality, authorized access for treatment, and data security ManagementReviews, updates, develops and maintains clinic policies and procedures in conjunction with the Medical Director and Practice ManagerMaintains a working knowledge of nursing methods, principles and practices in relation to the prevention and treatment of diseases, safety and infection control, clinical systems, supplies and equipment in relation to obstetrical and gynecological careAssures compliance with infection control guidelinesOrders all medical supplies for the office through the Office ManagerPublic RelationsRepresents the clinic in the community as delegated by the Practice ManagerAttends medical conferences that offer professional training and information pertinent to the clinic's practicesProfessional DevelopmentMaintains professional licenseIncreases knowledge of management, obstetrical and gynecological care and women's health issuesActively participates in the performance evaluation process by conducting a self-evaluation at least annually and identifying goals and objectives in collaboration with the Practice ManagerPerform other duties as assignedReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Passionately aligned with the mission and vision of Human CoalitionAbility to work in a fast-paced, changing environmentDesire to serve othersSkill in human relations, written and oral communication and the ability to work in a collaborative settingDependable, stable and capable of following through with commitmentsPossess a sincere desire to reach out to abortion determined womenRespect confidentialityCPR certified as a healthcare providerKnowledge of legal and ethical considerations related to patient informationEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:Hold a current registered nurse in good standing with the state medical board(3) - (5) years of clinical experienceEmphasis on obstetrical and gynecological care preferredSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:None.
