Registered Nurse--Lactation Consultant--- Part-time Day Shift

The RN Lactation Consultant participates in the Lactation Program
development and management.----
----- Serves as an expert consultant to maternal-child staff,
physicians and other healthcare professionals in the management of
patients with complex breastfeeding problems
----- Participates in program management to support and encourage
successful breastfeeding through the first year of life
----- Participates in program development activities to facilitate
successful exclusive breastfeeding for inpatient mother/infant

Qualifications What you need to be successful:
----- ADN required and BSN preferred
----- Texas State RN license or compact license is accepted
----- Current BLS issued by the American Heart Association
required
----- Current NRP issued by the American Heart Association
required
----- IBCLC preferred or CLC with IBCLC within 6 months of hire
