North Texas Gynecologic Oncology in partnership with The Center for
Cancer and Blood Disorders is seeking a Certified Nurse
Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our extensive,
well-established multi-specialty physician group practice in Plano,
The Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders has more than 50 cancer
specialists and 250 healthcare professionals representing many
different areas of medical and administrative services across 16
locations throughout North Texas. Our private, physician-led

About the Role
The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) will be responsible for
providing medical services to Gynecologic Oncology patients at our
clinic through established standards and practice. This opportunity
is to treat patients in both the in-patient and out-patient
setting, The APP will perform medical assessments on patients,
obtain medical history, and record findings. The APP will order the
appropriate laboratory test and interprets and integrates the data
to determine a therapeutic plan. The APP will instruct patients and
their families about the necessary medications and treatments and
collaborate with physicians on the patient medical needs. The APP
will maintain and review patient records, charts, and electronic
records, including posting all test and examination results. The
APP is responsible for triaging patient telephone calls and
providing consultations. The APP must also maintain
government-regulated HIPAA guidelines. This position will provide
coverage for our Plano Location in Dallas.
Required Skills and Knowledge
- The ideal candidate must have an active license to practice as
a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Texas.
- The ideal candidate will be comfortable with working in the
in-patient and out-patient settings.
- The ideal candidate must have a Master's Degree in Nursing or
Certification as a Physician Assistant.
- Must be able to communicate with patients, peers, physicians,
and the public.
- Must have telephone communication and etiquette
- Must have basic computer skills, including word processing,
keyboarding, and the ability to learn computerized scheduling and
- Must have a professional appearance.
- Must be capable of managing multiple tasks.
